The Best Integrated Sports Watches Up To 4,000 Euros
There's more than just the PRX out there, if you dare...

Whenever something blows up in popularity, whether it’s watches or other things, it sparks a huge wave of brands to join in on the fun. Perfectly understandable, of course, as trends are created, followed, expanded and so on, as time progresses. While the surge of integrated sports watches can hardly be called a trend anymore, as it seems here to stay indefinitely, it can become cumbersome to wade through the vast number of brands and watches available. So, with that in mind, and ignoring the immensely popular Tissot PRX for a change, we take a look at some of the best up to a self-imposed spending limit of EUR 4,000. And for once, Seiko is the most expensive on the list!
Below 500 Euros – Citizen Tsuyosa 37mm
The Citizen Tsuyosa has made an impressive impact since its debut in 2022, and is a perfect gateway watch into the mechanical watches. It comes in a range of styles and colours, all with a decidedly retro design and an in-house automatic movement. The most recent addition is also one of the best, with a 37mm wide case, integrated steel bracelet, and fresh tones on the dial. For just EUR 299, you become the proud owner of a watch that not only looks good, but also does what it needs to do perfectly fine. The only dilemma you’re facing with this one is: Ice Blue, Pastel Pink, or Dark Green?

500 to 1,000 Euros – yema urban traveller
Moving up a bit, to the 500 to 1,000 euro segment, we revisit a watch from 2023, with the Yema Urban Traveller. It’s still in the collection today, and for a price of EUR 890, you can’t go wrong with this one. The design is straight from the 1970s, brought up to modern standards in terms of materials and finishing. The light blue, silvery-white, forest green or classical black dials have a nice texture to them, the case is nicely proportioned, and it comes with Calibre 2000, Yema’s proprietary automatic movement. Especially the profile of the bezel and sapphire crystal makes the Urban Traveller stand out from the masses!

1,000 to 2,000 Euros – circula facet
Moving to Germany for a change, the Circula Facet is a very solid option if you have a budget of up to EUR 2,000 to play with. Packed with character, the Facet delivers what it says on the tin; facets! They are virtually everywhere, from the bezel to the markers, and from the case to the bracelet, without making the Facet tacky or unbalanced. The finishing is very good, and it comes with a top-grade La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement. The dials have a circular brick-style pattern in silver, petrol blue or brown. If you order it on the integrated bracelet, it will set you back EUR 1,990. Not a bad deal considering all it brings to the table!

2,000 to 3,000 Euros – MeisterSinger Kaenos Open Date
MeisterSinger has dipped its toes into integrated watch designs with the very impressive Kaenos Open Date. The overall fit and finish is well above many of its competitors, with signature elements like the Perigraph-style open date display to liven it up even more. Four colours are available for the cool sandwich dial: light grey, ice-blue, petrol blue and black. A discerning element is the broad, polished bevel on the case and down the entire length of the bracelet. Power comes from a Sellita SW200 automatic, driving a single hand and the fully exposed date wheel. It costs EUR 2,950, so it sits at the top end of this bracket.

We started in Japan, and we’re finishing in Japan, with the daring Seiko King Seiko Vanac collection. This blast from the past is certainly an attention-grabber on the wrist, thanks to its multi-faceted case design, raised sapphire crystal and bold dials. There are five dial colours in the collection, all with horizontal grooves, applied numerals and hands with LumiBrite inserts. The 8L45 automatic movement is derived from the GS 9S65 calibre, and delivers a comfortable 72 hours of power. It comes with a distinct stainless steel bracelet as standard. Great list.. but may I aslo suggest Tissot PRX and Maurice La Croix Aikon, both well within this price bracket?
Maurice LaCroix Aikon and I own it too! Awesome for the price
where is formex which sells a chronometer certified watch ?
I like the look of the Citizen, but is50m water resistance really enough for a “sports watch”?
The CIRCULA does not have an integrated bracelet it seems.
The Seiko looks like a Seiko I didn’t like in the ’70s.
All that’s missing is the faceted Hardlex crystal.
