The connection between Omega and movie franchise James Bond 007 is one of the strongest imaginable, dating back to Goldeneye in 1995. Since then, at least one Omega watch has been worn on screen by the world’s most famous secret agent, in every movie released since. And while we don’t yet know who will incarnate Bond in the 26th episode of the series, meaning the next Bond watch to appear on screen remains a mystery, there’s a new 007-themed Omega watch launching today. This time, though, it’s not about real life but a watch that first appears in the action-adventure game, 007 First Light. Designed in collaboration with the game’s creators, IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios, meet the new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light.

Context

The Bond 007 x Omega connection no longer needs an introduction (and if you need a reminder, you can check out this in-depth article), starting with the release of Goldeneye in 1995, starring Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. Thanks to the work of costume designer Lindy Hemming, the British agent has been wearing an Omega Seamaster in every movie since 1995, including the 25th episode, No Time to Die, which gave birth to the military-style Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition. But until now, all Omega x Bond watches have been released in the frame of a movie. The latest one, however, comes from a different, more digital universe this time.

The new Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light is released with the launch of the 007 First Light video game (in stores on May 27th, 2026). Developed by IO Interactive (the creators of the Hitman series) in partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, the game features a compelling original standalone story of a 26-year-old James Bond, diving into the character’s reimagined origin story with a fresh take on the franchise. An OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph appears at the heart of the missions, fitted with a hacking device capable of disrupting electronic equipment as well as a powerful laser strap, making it an essential tool for players as they earn their 007 status.

The new Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light

This new model marks the first-ever chronograph in James Bond’s Seamaster lineage. We have seen Diver 300M, Planet Ocean 600m or Aqua Terra models, but never has the secret agent worn a chronograph. The watch released today by Omega exists both in the video game, as worn by a young James Bond and where the sub-dials have a functional role during play, and in real life.

The base used for this new 007 First Light edition is a well-known model, which we have reviewed in this article. First released in 2019, a year after the classic time-and-date Seamaster Diver 300M was revamped, the chronograph version is a sizeable watch measuring 44mm in diameter, 17mm in thickness and almost 53mm in length. Here, it is crafted in polished and brushed stainless steel, with the collection’s classic design traits: lyre-shaped lugs, curved crown guards, a conical helium escape valve at 10 o’clock and pushers made of black polished ceramic. Equipped with sapphire crystals on both sides, this version retains proper diving credentials and a solid 300m water-resistance.

Classic too is the unidirectional bezel with a black polished ceramic insert and a 60-minute white enamel diving scale. As for the case, the only element that gives this edition its own personality is the caseback with a 007 First Light logo, crafted in black metallisation on the underside of the glass. All the rest is identical to the standard black version here.

As for the dial of this new Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light, the base remains the essential polished ceramic element with classic laser-engraved waves. What sets this edition apart is a sub-dial ring at 3 o’clock that is finished in PVD bronze gold. The same coating is used for the central chronograph seconds hand, while all other hands and indexes are rhodium-plated and filled with white Super-LumiNova. The Seamaster name appears in red. The display, like most automatic chronographs by Omega, relies on a single chronograph sub-counter that can record elapsed time up to 12 hours.

Under the special caseback is the in-house calibre 9900, a movement shared with multiple other models, such as the Speedmaster Pilot, the Planet Ocean Chronograph, or the Speedmaster Racing. A modern automatic calibre with integrated architecture, and using a column wheel and vertical clutch, it relies on two barrels to offer a comfortable 60h power reserve. Equipped with a co-axial escapement and multiple antimagnetic components, it is Master Chronometer certified and can withstand magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The decoration is classic Omega, with Geneva stripes in Arabesque, blackened screws and red lettering.

Strap, Availability & Price

The Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph 007 First Light is worn on a new NATO Strap inspired by the visual universe and design elements of the game, with black, grey, and beige stripes – the same colourway as the No Time To Die edition, but with a different pattern. Alternatively, wearers can choose from six other NATO Strap choices, available separately within Omega’s accessories collection. These are each modelled after the different strap versions that are playable within the game.

Delivered inside a special presentation box, the 007 First Light edition is a special but not limited edition, priced at CHF 7,300 (excl. taxes) or USD 9,400 (excl. taxes). For more details, please visit www.omegawatches.com.
