Tudor Goes Against the Trend with the Black Bay 68 in 43mm
A larger take on the emblematic dive watch.

Expanding once more its emblematic live of dive watches, the Black Bay, Tudor makes a surprising move by releasing the new Black Bay 68. Indeed, while the watch started its life in 2012 in 41mm, the brand continuously reduced its size by launching the 39mm Black Bay 58 and then the 37mm Black Bay 54. And in 2025, against all odds but “meeting the demand for various case sizes to fit all types of wrists,” the brand releases a larger, 43mm edition named the Black Bay 68.
No surprises regarding the design of this Black Bay 68. We’re in very, very well known territories. Basically, the same recipe as what the brand did when releasing the Black Bay 58, but now only in the opposite direction, becoming bigger. The case, with the familiar BB diver look, with its brushed surfaces and polished bevels on the side, now measures 43mm in diameter and 13.6mm in thickness – we’re awaiting for confirmation of the lug-to-lug. It relies on the same design elements as the Black Bay Monochrome of last year, meaning a classically notched crown that’s smaller than before, a well fluted bezel and a domed sapphire crystal. Water-resistance is rated at 200m and the watch is framed by a 60-minute unidirectional bezel in stainless steel with matte black aluminium insert.
New to the Black Bay 68 are two dial colors, silver brushed and Tudor blue brushed. The silver model gets black accented hands and markers, while the blue edition has silver-toned elements. All are largely filled with Super-Luminova and, as you expect, the hands are the classic Snowflake type.
Under the closed steel back is the MT5601-U, the classic Kenissi-made automatic movement with the usual specs; silicon hairspring and variable inertia balance wheel beating at 4Hz, 70h power reserve and bidirectional rotor. This movement, as many new releases of Tudor, is Master Chronometer-certified by METAS, meaning superior accuracy of -2/+4 seconds/day and high resistance to magnetic up to 15,000 gauss.
The Tudor Black Bay 68 is worn on a classic 22mm wide 3-link stainless steel bracelet with smooth side flanks and polished and satin finishes. It features the brand’s pratical T-Fit clasp with rapid adjustment.
Available from the brand’s retailers as of now and part of the permanent collection, the Tudor Black Bay 68 retails for EUR 4,730. For more details, please visit tudorwatch.com.
