When two become one, greatness can happen, and in the case of these collaborations, greatness has indeed happened. It’s not easy to blend two styles, two philosophies, and two convictions into a single unified product. You want to make sure the integration feels natural, coherent and above all, adds something that neither of the two could deliver on their own. In the world of watches, we see collaborations all the time, and there have been some stellar ones recently! So with that in mind, this week’s Buying Guide is all about watches that bring together different worlds.

Zenith x Naoya Hida & Co G.F.J. Calibre 135 Double-Signed

Just a couple of days ago, Zenith pulled a surprising move, as it unveiled a rather splendid edition of the G.F.J. Calibre 135 with none other than Japanese indie watchmaker Naoya Hida & Co. The coming together bridges two distinct cultures, with Naoya Hida providing the dial aesthetics in its typical Sector-like style with engraved and blue Urushi lacquer-infilled numerals and markers. Around the back, the Calibre 135, one of the greatest Chronometer-grade movements ever made, can be seen in full. Only 10 will be made, all in platinum and fitted to a blue Wagyu leather strap with a platinum pin buckle. The price is set at CHF 58,900.

Baltic x Spaceone Seconde Majeur

A mash-up of Baltic and SpaceOne wasn’t on our Bingo cards for 2026, we must admit. On one hand you have the very vintage-inspired style of Baltic, and on the other the space-age world of SpaceOne. Yet the Seconde Majeur just works. The Seconde Majeur uses a 38mm wide case, has a German Silver dial with a brushed or charbonné (or charcoaled) finish, with time indicated by sapphire discs for the jumping hours and minutes. The display is made possible thanks to a Soprod P024 base, with a module developed by Théo Auffret. Available for a week only, priced at EUR 2,500 (brushed) or EUR 3,500 (scraped), this one knocked it out of the park, style-wise!

H. Moser & Cie X Reebok Streamliner Pump

As mentioned, the integration of a concept matters a great deal with a collaboration watch, and H. Moser & Cie knows this all too well. Case in point, the Streamliner Pump, made in partnership with sneaker giant Reebok. It’s not just a matter of adopting colour and style elements, but Moser has re-engineered the winding mechanism to a pump-style pusher at 8 o’clock, and a forged quartz fibre case in black or white. This clever and practical concept results in a rather clean and coherent look. It comes on an integrated white or black rubber strap with a pin buckle, is limited to 250 pieces per colour, and retails for CHF 31,360 excl. VAT

IWC x Vast Pilot Venturer Vertical Drive

Engineered for life in space, the IWC Pilot Venturer Vertical Drive is developed with input from the scientists and engineers from the VAST space agency. The main idea is to make it functional with thick gloves on, much like an astronaut would wear during a space mission. To do that, IWC and VAST engineered a system that uses a special Ceratanium bezel and rocker switch on the left side of the case to wind and set the watch. Next to the central hour, minute and second hands, it also functions as a GMT watch and shows you the date. The case is in white ceramic, with a matching white rubber strap. It’s not limited, and retails for CHF 24,000.

Swatch x Audemars Piguet Royal Pop

Causing quite the storm upon its debut, after a hype campaign on social media, the Royal Pop is one of the most unexpected collaborations ever conceived. It takes the DNA of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and combines it with the convertible concept of the Swatch Pop. And honestly, it works great! It’s available with the crown at noon or at 3′, spanning 8 colourful editions. Details such as the bezel screws and tapisserie decoration have been carried over and put in a bioceramic case and holder. It can be worn as a pocket watch, a pendant watch, or converted into a desk clock. At EUR 385 or EUR 400, depending on the configuration, it’s quite fun and rather accessible!

For more information, please visit Swatch.com or Audemars-Piguet.com.

TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Fragment Limited Edition

Late last year, TAG Heuer launched its third limited edition with Fragment, the Japanese fashion studio by Hiroshi Fujiwara. Using the Carrera Glassbox as its canvas, Fragment adopts its signature monochromatic look with a fully black dial, interrupted by only the bare minimum in indications. The result is a Carrera Glassbox that looks sleeker and more modern than ever, despite its obvious vintage roots. And of course, its functionality as a chronograph has remained untouched. Fitted to a multi-link brushed and polished bracelet with a folding clasp and limited to 500 pieces, it costs EUR 9,000.
