The Summer Vibes Of The Nomos Club Campus Full Rose and All Olive
The Club Campus continuously proves thoughtful colours, a California-style dial and the in-house DUW movement remain a winning combination.
Do you know many brands that embrace colour as confidently as Nomos Glashütte? Watchmakers often introduce brightly coloured dials as limited seasonal releases, yet Nomos has made them part of its identity, particularly within the Club Campus collection. We have seen everything from Future Orange and Absolute Grey to Starlight and Night Sky, Nonstop Red and Endless Blue, Electric Green, and Cream Coral (a personal favourite), proving that even the cleanest Bauhaus-inspired design can become a playful canvas. The latest additions, Full Rose and All Olive, arrived earlier this year to reveal (again) why the recipe continues to work so well. They combine bright, cheerful colours with one of Nomos’ most recognisable dial designs, robust specs and a meaningful mechanical upgrade that strengthens the entire collection.
The Collection
The Club Campus was launched in 2017. Positioned as an entry point into mechanical watchmaking, it offers the same in-house approach found across the brand’s more expensive models but in a more casual, youthful package. It is also one of the collections where Nomos actively encourages personalisation, with the solid caseback left blank for engraving, turning it into a favourite graduation or anniversary watch. A display caseback is always an option, too.

The Case
The Full Rose and All Olive editions are available in 36mm or 38.5mm cases; the polished stainless steel construction retains its slim proportions, measuring 8.1mm or 8.5mm thick depending on the size. The curved lugs, narrow bezel, and gently domed sapphire crystal contribute to an elegant profile. The unexpected 100m water resistance makes it a capable everyday companion, especially comfortable to wear throughout the summer without worrying about a sudden aquatic experience.
The Dial
For the dial, Nomos continues to use its distinctive interpretation of the California dial. Traditionally associated with vintage sports watches, the format combines Roman numerals on the upper half of the dial with Arabic numerals below, with a few baton markers. Nomos also offers its own unmistakable twist with colourful minute numerals around the periphery and a recessed small-seconds display above six o’clock, featuring the Campus collection’s signature fluorescent orange seconds hand.
The Full Rose edition offers a warm, saturated shade that feels lively without becoming all too playful, though it certainly calls to be designated feminine. With white Super-LumiNova numerals and polished rhodium-plated hands, legibility is great, and it stands apart from the predictable sports-watch colours currently dominating the market.
The All Olive’s deep olive-green dial has an earthy, almost military character, with pink minute numerals and yellow outlines surrounding the hour markers, which significantly downplay the “military” aspect. It is an unusual combination, remarkably harmonious in person, and visually interesting. The colours feel particularly appropriate for the season, and somehow neither feels trendy; both inject personality into a watch designed for daily wear.
The Movement
For years, the Club Campus relied on the excellent Alpha calibre, itself derived from the Peseux 7001 architecture and gradually refined by Nomos. About a year and a half ago, however, the collection quietly transitioned to the manufacture DUW 4001. While visually familiar, this is a meaningful evolution.
The hand-wound movement now features the Nomos Swing System, the brand’s proprietary escapement previously reserved for its higher-end models. Earlier Campus references relied on an externally sourced escapement despite the movement’s extensive reworking. By introducing the Swing System to the Club Campus range, Nomos has brought one of its most important technical achievements to its most accessible collection.

The DUW 4001 remains beautifully slim at just 2.6mm. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it offers a longer 53-hour power reserve, stop-seconds functionality and regulation in six positions. An optional sapphire caseback reveals the traditional Glashütte three-quarter plate, ribbing, perlage, blued screws and the distinctive blue hairspring of the Swing System.

Thoughts and Price
Club Campus, no doubt, is one of Nomos’ most successful collections. The playful colours may initially attract attention, but it’s the combination of design, genuine in-house mechanics and everyday practicality that make these watches far more than colourful summer accessories. With the addition of the DUW 4001 and the Swing System, the Campus has quietly become an even stronger proposition, offering an impressive amount of authentic Glashütte watchmaking at one of the most accessible price points in the Nomos catalogue.
The watches are worn on soft vegan velour straps, beige for the Full Rose and anthracite for the All Olive, complementing the dial colours. Prices for the 36mm model start at EUR 1,420 with a closed caseback and go up to EUR 1,640 for an open caseback. If you want them in 38mm, you’re looking at EUR 1,560 and EUR 1,780, respectively.

Pro tip: The fabric straps on these watches are amazing. The Vegan Velour Remborde is easily my favorite fabric strap from any supplier or brand. They are soft like sweatpants, very durable, and look great on a BB85 or Seamster Diver 300M.
I would kill for a 21mm to wear on a P39 or Sub in the winter as well. Easily worth the money. The winged clasp is also a delight and a worthy upgrade. I have not found a fabric strap on the market that is as good as these.
