H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Flyback Chronograph Dual Time Date
A refined evolution of Moser’s AgenGraphe-based chronograph, now inside the classical Endeavour case with dual time and date functions.
Since the launch of the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph in 2020, H. Moser & Cie. has been closely associated with one of the most unconventional chronograph architectures in modern watchmaking, developed in collaboration with Agenhor, the Geneva-based complications specialist founded by Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. MELB, the company of the Meylan family, which now owns H. Moser & Cie., Hautlence, and Precision Engineering AG (specialist in the development and manufacture of high-quality escapement components and hairsprings), also took a stake in Agenhor in 2023, establishing an ecosystem dedicated to independent high-end watchmaking and advanced movement design. Drawing from it, Moser brings an evolution of its AgenGraphe-based concept into its more classical Endeavour collection with the new Endeavour Flyback Chronograph Dual Time Date.
Instead of placing the Streamliner movement in another case, the Endeavour Flyback features a newly evolved calibre. Combining a flyback chronograph, a dual time display, and a date indication, the watch remains remarkably restrained visually, continuing Moser’s philosophy of making complicated watches appear deceptively simple.
The Endeavour Flyback Chronograph Dual Time Date is presented in a polished stainless steel case measuring 42mm in diameter and 13.2mm in height. The silhouette remains elegant, with curved lugs and clean surfaces maintaining the refined identity of the Endeavour collection. Perhaps a bit large (the wristshot provided by the brand certainly says so), but considering the technical content inside, the proportions are quite balanced. Chronograph pushers, rectangular and rounded, are positioned at 10 and 2 o’clock, while the screw-down crown sits at 4 o’clock and is engraved with the Moser “M” logo. The watch is fitted with sapphire crystals on both sides and offers 30m of water resistance.
The dial combines a turquoise fumé base with a Blackor fumé central disc, both decorated with sunburst finishes. The layout follows the minimalist approach first explored with the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph. All chronograph indications are centralised. A red central hand indicates elapsed seconds, and a rhodium-plated hand displays elapsed minutes on a white track around the dial’s periphery, interrupted at 6 o’clock by the date window. The black flange features a tachymeter scale. The second time zone is integrated into the central disc through a white Super-LumiNova-treated arrow. Leaf-shaped hour and minute hands, also filled with Super-LumiNova, complete the display.
The new H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Flyback Chronograph Dual Time Date is powered by the new calibre HMC 730, developed with Agenhor specifically for this model. The movement reinterprets the automatic HMC 902 used in the Streamliner by removing the automatic winding system and rotor, allowing additional space for the dual time and date functions. The calibre retains the defining technical features of the AgenGraphe, including a column wheel chronograph and Agenhor’s patented micro-tooth horizontal clutch system, designed to minimise the jumping effect often associated with traditional horizontal clutches. The chronograph minute display uses a retrograde snail cam mechanism, allowing the minute hand to jump instantaneously for more precise elapsed-time reading.
The hand-wound movement operates at 21,600 vibrations/hour and delivers a 72-hour power reserve through twin barrels. The power reserve indicator is positioned on the movement side to preserve the clean dial layout. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the calibre features anthracite finishes, perlage, Moser double stripes and partially skeletonised bridges. The watch is worn on a grey alligator leather strap with nubuck finish, closed by a steel pin buckle engraved with the Moser logo.
The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Flyback Chronograph Dual Time Date is priced at CHF 74,500 including taxes. For more information, please visit h-moser.com.
