After a series of small-batch releases, Anoma introduces its first permanent models with the A1 Core Collection. Until now, the brand has focused on short runs such as the original A1, the Slate edition, and Optical Art. With the A1 Abyss and A1 Stone, Anoma is now offering watches that will remain in the catalogue. This creates a stable base for the collection, while retaining the rounded triangular case and design-led approach that has defined Anoma’s watches so far. Founded in 2024, the London-based microbrand produces its watches in Switzerland, with prices around GBP 2,000, offering a more accessible take on non-round designs in a space dominated by more expensive watches from long-established luxury brands.

The case measures 39mm by 38mm with a thickness of 9.45mm. Anoma states that the watch wears closer to 37mm, made possible due to the compact proportions, the absence of traditional lugs, and the lower part of the case curving slightly inwards. Made of 316L stainless steel, the case is fully polished, and the curved surfaces reflect light differently depending on the angle. The lugs are integrated into the case, and the crown is hidden from view, which gives the case a clean look. You can wear these A1 Core Collection watches on coloured grained Italian leather straps, using standard 18mm spring bars for easy changes.

The difference between the two is evident the moment you see the dial. Inspired by the depth of the ocean, the A1 Abyss uses three layers of lacquer: one in greenish-blue and two in darker midnight blue. It has a mirror-polished centre, a sunburst outer section, and silver printed markings. The A1 Stone draws from the look of river rocks, with a rough, blasted centre paired with a sharper sunburst outer ring and silver printed markings, giving it a more subdued look. Both watches keep the layout simple, with no extra elements.

Powering the Abyss and Stone in the A1 Core Collection is the Sellita SW100 automatic. This is a compact Swiss movement, which suits the case proportions and keeps the overall thickness under control. There is nothing unusual in terms of its function, and it has a straightforward time-only display. With a 42-hour power reserve, the movement runs at 28,800 vibrations/hour.

An initial run of 300 watches will be produced, with 150 pieces of each model. Deliveries are expected from June 2026, each priced at GBP 2,200 (excluding taxes). For more information, please visit anomawatches.com.
