Back in June 2017, we were one of the first media to introduce to you a new brand named Singer Reimagined. The brainchild of Rob Dickinson, founder of Singer Vehicle Design, and Marco Borraccino, watch designer, the first timepiece they presented, the Track 1, was a super-cool, 1970s-inspired chronograph, which reimagined the way a stopwatch could be displayed – thanks to a crazy movement by Agenhor. After we took the time to talk cars and watches with Rob, it was the right moment for us to go back to Geneva and to sit down again with these guys, to talk future of Singer Reimagined with Rob & Marco (video above).
A lot happened to the brand in the past months. Launched only 8 months ago, Marco, Rob and Jean-Marc Wiederrecht (the technical partner who created the movement) achieved to give the Singer Reimagined Track 1 a great exposure. Indeed, the brand was officially introduced to the public during the Monterrey Car Week. Later, they’ve been selected for the GPHG 2017 in the chronograph category (the Track 1 ended in the 6 finalists), they won the “watch of the year” prize and the “innovation in watchmaking prize” at the CH24.pl event in Poland and they’ve been exhibiting at the Dubai Watch Week.
Back in January 2018 in Geneva, the brand introduced its new version of the Track 1, the “Geneva Edition” in pale 18k yellow gold, with a slightly redesigned black dial. The idea is that several limited editions will be launched around the world, all named after the city where the introduction will be done. Yet, the best to understand how the brand is developing and what this new Track 1 Geneva Edition looks like is to look at the video above.
