Daniel Ricciardo Wearing a Very Blue, Unknown F1-Themed Tudor Black Bay Ceramic

A couple of days ago, we received the news that Tudor, a brand owned by Rolex and focused on military, diving and aquatic activities, was back in motorsport. To be more precise, the brand announced joining the brand-new Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team as an official partner. Yesterday, the Red Bull-owned team unveiled the livery of its 2024 cars and official images of its drivers, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda. And, to our surprise, something unprecedented appeared on the wrist of Daniel Ricciardo, a watch that might become the RB F1 team watch, a blue Tudor Black Bay Ceramic. 

It isn’t the first time that Tudor discreetly reveals special watches dedicated to one of the teams they sponsor. Of course, the easiest ones on the list are the two Pelagos FXD Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition – now that we think back to this partnership, the new one with Visa Cash App Red Bull makes a lot of sense… Another less obvious watch to be mentioned here is the Black Bay Chrono Dark, specially made for the Tudor Pro Cycling Team, a watch that isn’t available for sale and is reserved for the members of the cycling team.

Well, it seems that Tudor has done it again, with a special watch for its new, very fast friends. Yesterday, the Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team unveiled its car for the 2024 F1 championship, named VCARB 01. Alongside technical aspects of the car, this event also allowed us to discover the new blue livery of the team – which drastically changes from the previous one found on the Scuderia AlphaTauri cars, the previous name of this team owned by Red Bull. Coincidentally, the team released the official images of its two pilots, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda. Look at the images of Daniel or Yuki, and you’ll see a Tudor on their wrist. No surprises, you’d say. Up until you take some of the images of Ricciardo and zoom in.

Indeed, no mistake is possible; Ricciardo is clearly wearing an unprecedented watch with an unmistakably bright blue dial, the colour of his team. What we’re looking at is a new version of the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic, the watch that introduced the Master Chronometer certification at Tudor, with a different dial and colour-matched stitchings on its hybrid leather and rubber strap.

The question is… Are we looking at an upcoming model to be released soon? Or are we looking at yet another team watch that will remain exclusive to members and pilots of Visa Cash App RB Formula One? Time will tell.
