The F1-Themed Tudor Black Bay Ceramic Blue, Now Available to the Public

You can now wear the same watch as Visa Cash App RB Formula One racers Yuki and Daniel.

A few months ago, just ahead of the 2024 Formula 1 season, Tudor announced a rather unexpected partnership, signing its return in motorsport. The brand indeed announced its official partnership with Red Bull’s second team, Visa Cash App RB Formula One team, with drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda behind the wheel. Only a couple of days later, we spotted Ricciardo during an official photoshoot with something quite special on the wrist… An unprecedented Black Bay Ceramic with a Visa Cash App blue dial. What we thought would remain a so-called “team watch” is now officially available to the public. Here’s the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic Blue.

Following multiple important sports partnerships, such as the Tudor Pro Cycling Team, Inter Milan or Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition, Tudor is once again releasing a themed watch… But this one, as said in the introduction, isn’t entirely new. It is indeed the same watch as drivers Yuki and Daniel wear around the paddock. We had the teaser, now the watch is out and available. Not as surprising as the Black Bay Chrono Pink, but nevertheless a nice surprise for F1 fans – or simply those who’d like to add a touch of colour to the otherwise very black Black Bay Ceramic.

What we’re looking at here is the first evolution of the watch that, in 2021, introduced the Master Chronometer certification at Tudor. Visually, most of this new Black Bay Ceramic Blue is identical to the black edition, with a 41mm black ceramic case, a unidirectional bezel in PVD steel with 60-minute graduated disc in black ceramic with sunray satin finish, a combination of satin-finished surfaces and polished accents and an overall design that immediately recognizable as part of the Black Bay collection. No evolutions compared to the classic BB Ceramic on this side (all the details are here if you want).

What’s new, or at least what was new when the team drivers were spotted with this watch, is the flat-blue dial with a not-so-discreet colour. It’s blue, very blue, and matches the Visa Cash App RB livery. The domed dial is complete with applied hour markers and hands filled with white SLN and no date to disturb the sleek dial.

The Visa Cash App RB livery continues on the straps offered with this Black Bay Ceramic Blue. As standard, the watch comes on a hybrid leather and rubber strap with blue stitching and folding clasp in black PVD-treated steel. Also included is a complimentary black fabric strap with blue band.

Inside the case and visible under a sapphire back is the manufacture Calibre MT5602-1U, made with Kenissi. This automatic movement retains the architecture of most Black Bay watches but adds the highly demanding Master Chronometer certification (not only for the movement but for the whole watch), guaranteeing both precision with a COSC certification and anti-magnetic properties up to 15,000 gauss. Tudor claims a precision of -2/+4 seconds per day for all its Master Chronometer watches. The movement runs at 4Hz and stores a guaranteed power reserve of 70h. The 200m waterproofness is also part of the certification.

Released as part of the permanent collection and now available to the public, the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic Blue (reference 79210CNU) is priced at EUR 5,200 or CHF 4,800. For more details, please visit www.tudorwatch.com.
