MeisterSinger Launches the Neo Special in Four Pastel Colours

Spring is just around the corner and MeisterSinger wants you to have it on the wrist.

MeisterSinger, a German brand created by Manfred Brassler in 2001, and located in the city of Münster, Westphalia, has made a name for itself with its unusual display of the time based on a single central hand – a fine needlepoint that enables the wearer to read the time almost to the nearest minute, but without the frenzy of the classic HMS display. In this “less is more” approach to telling the time, the Neo collection, the brand’s epitome of minimalistic elegance, has always been a favourite here with its classic design and compact proportions. Recently revamped with better specs, the collection now adds a touch of colour with the MeisterSinger Neo Special range, available in four distinctive yet elegant pastel colours.

What needs to be known about the MeisterSinger Neo is simple; it is the most focused watch of the brand, with the simplest possible display, and a design that’s extremely minimalistic yet charmful. It’s also a compact watch, with dimensions that can easily fit the needs of men and women. Since its redesign in 2015, the Neo line has seamlessly blended classic vintage aesthetics with modern elements, offering elegance, good looks, and decent prices. Fast-forward to 2024, and MeisterSinger unveiled an updated Neo collection following the recent launch of the Edition Neo T1, marking the inception of a new generation of Neo timepieces.

Without transforming entirely the original concept of a small, pebble-shaped watch with a minimalistic design and single-handed display, the updated Neo brought several enhancements to make it better for daily use. The compact 36mm case, with almost no bezel and a thin profile of 9.7mm, was made more resistant with the addition of a sapphire crystal on top and a water-resistance increased to 50m. What was good about the watch, its ultra-clean yet charming look, is almost untouched. In fact, it’s even cleaner than before as it got rid of the date. The caseback, secured by 4 screws, can even be engraved with a personalized message to commemorate a special occasion.

For 2025, the news is all about the dials, which are now offered in four different pastel colours that are, without a doubt, inspired by the upcoming spring season. Light blue, light red, light yellow, and light green… These are all fairly subtle and, even if they add a touch of fun and freshness, they remain toned-down enough and in line with the original vocation of this collection. The silver-gloss hour markers are printed in multiple layers, giving them a subtle three-dimensional effect. The needle-shaped hour hand also shines in silver. The hour and half-hour markers are designed in contrasting colours to match the dial, adding subtle accents.

Inside the case, no revolution, as we have a classic, tried-and-tested Sellita SW200 automatic without a date and with only one central hand (the hour hand). The specs are the usual ones; 38h power reserve and 4Hz frequency. The MeisterSinger Neo Special models come standard with gray velour leather straps, but fine Milanese steel bracelets are available as an optional upgrade.

Available from early April 2025 and in limited quantities, the MeisterSinger Neo Special Pastel Colours retail for EUR 1,890 on leather strap and EUR 1,910 on Milanese bracelet. For more information, visit meistersinger.com.
