Longines has long been connected to sport. From its long-standing role as official timekeeper of major competitions to its continued involvement with the Commonwealth Games since 1962, the brand has always been there to measure performance with precision. Following earlier celebratory editions, such as the colourful 2022 Birmingham model, Longines now introduces the HydroConquest Commonwealth Games 2026, marking the upcoming Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games with a bold yet refined take on its modern dive watch.

This new limited edition is based on the latest generation of HydroConquest dive watch, unveiled earlier this year with a reworked design aligned with the GMT models. The collection has evolved into a sleeker, more contemporary diver, available in 39mm and 42mm cases, both measuring 11.7mm thick.

The brushed stainless steel case retains classic dive watch specs, with a screw-down crown, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and 300m water-resistance, while benefiting from improved ergonomics. The unidirectional count-up bezel features a black ceramic insert with teal-toned numerals and the luminescent capsule at 12 o’clock. The screw-down caseback is engraved with the official Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games logo, with a “Limited Edition – One of 2026” inscription.

This new HydroConquest Commonwealth Games 2026 edition offers a distinctive colour scheme, in line with the colours of Glasgow 2026, which are Steel Grey, Turquoise, Pink, and Purple. The dial features a gradient transition from vibrant teal to deep black. The HydroConquest’s signature appears in violet, and the central seconds hand is tipped in pink. Rhodium-plated hands and applied geometric markers, all treated with Super-LumiNova, provide good legibility despite the expressive and colourful design. The date window, outlined in white, is at 3 o’clock.

The watch is powered by the Longines-exclusive calibre L888.5, an automatic movement based on ETA 2892 but enhanced for the brand. Beating at 25,200 vibrations/hour and offering a 72-hour power reserve, it features a silicon balance spring for improved resistance to magnetism, exceeding ISO standards significantly.

The new Longines HydroConquest Commonwealth Games 2026 is worn on a black rubber strap, closed with a double-folding clasp with micro-adjustment. Available from May 2026, it is priced at EUR 2,300, USD 2,400 or CHF 1,950, regardless of the size. Each variant, 39mm and 42mm, is limited to 2,026 pieces, linking production directly to the year of the event.

  1. It’s a nice watch and certainly well made, it puts a question mark on the prices of many competitors. All good. But please, make a version without date!
