Ladoire Mr Ice – with LIVE photos

Ladoire launched chapter three in the Black Widow collection, called Mr. Ice. Again a funky three-dimensional watch that combines avant-garde design with traditional watchmaking. 

Early this year Ladoire released Mr. Green, the first chapter of the Black Widow collection, which sold out almost instantly. The new Mr. Ice has cooler colors than his predecessors and we have live photos!

The new Ladoire also shows the time with three offset hands displaying the hours, minutes and seconds. This is controlled by the Ladoire HMS Planetary complication we explained earlier. This avant-garde interpretation of a regulator is exactly what Ladoire stands for. In another post Monochrome was the first to show you the photos of the uncased movement, which really show how much Lionel Ladoire is capable of out-of-the-box thinking when it comes to watches.

But now on to the photos… The hour markers 8 to 1 of the second time zone and the second time zone hour-hand are treated with Super Luminova.

The local time can be read on the planetary disks, indicating hours, minutes and seconds. These disks are also treated with Super Luminova, which makes it possible to read the time when lights are dim.

Compared to the Roller Guardian Time collection, Ladoire’s other collection, the case of the Black Widow collection is reduced is size. The slimmer and smaller case is strapped to the wrist with the leather strap, which is attached to the case by a single  asymmetrical lug! Looks cool, works perfect.

The crown on the lower left side of the case is for adjusting the second time zone. The movement is Ladoire’s manufacture-made movement, caliber Calvet/o2 with automatic winding via a micro rotor.

Ladoire created a really cool campaign to promote the introduction of the Black Widow collection. It’s a story about a femme fatale, a lady with lethal charms.
