The New J.N. Shapiro Infinity Series Pure
A fine symbolic expression of what makes J.N. Shapiro exceptional: design, guilloché craftsmanship, and commitment to traditional horology.

J.N. Shapiro, one of the celebrated names in independent watchmaking, has earned a following for his masterful use of traditional guilloché and thoughtful, almost philosophical approach to design. Founded by former educator Josh Shapiro, the California-based brand gained recognition with the Infinity Series, showcasing the artisanal craft with Shapiro’s now-signature “Infinity Weave” guilloché pattern. The original Infinity models helped establish the reputation, and more recently, the 2023 Resurgence confirmed his status: it was an entirely American-made wristwatch, perhaps the first since Hamilton stopped production in 1969, and remember, to bear the ‘Made in the USA’ designation, virtually all the components need to be produced on US soil.
Now that the inaugural Infinity Series has been discontinued, J.N. Shapiro returns to the roots with the new Infinity Series Pure, offering the same hand-crafted finesse as its predecessors but in a smaller, slimmer, and more affordable format.
The Infinity Series Pure is presented in a 37mm stainless steel case, 50m water-resistant, sourced with the help of the Alternative Horological Alliance (AHA). The watch is 8.8mm thick (7.4mm without the crystal) and looks elegant and practical, and the decision not to make it in-house allowed the brand to focus on the watch’s signature feature, the dial. The solid caseback, held by four screws, is engraved and engine-turned and features the infinity symbol, reinforcing the character of the piece.
The highlight of the Infinity Series Pure is Shapiro’s guilloché mastery. The dial is engine-turned by hand using antique rose engines and straight-line machines to produce the Infinity Weave, a basket weave within a basket weave. Two dial configurations are available: a blackened zirconium version with polished white gold hands and a frosted silver dial with rose gold hands. Both dials boast engraved circular brushed chapter rings and minute tracks.
For the Infinity Series Pure, J.N. Shapiro chose a Swiss-made manually wound movement F200 from La Joux-Perret, selected for its reliability and a 90-hour power reserve, and to allow the series to be priced so it can be accessible to a broader clientele.
The watch is worn on a leather strap closed with a pin buckle. The Infinity Series Pure is priced at USD 26,000 and is limited to 18 pieces per configuration. It is available via direct inquiry through the J.N. Shapiro website, with deliveries expected in Q4 2025. In contrast to the multi-year wait times for the Resurgence, this new release is designed to be more readily available.

LOL Do these people know that we can get Breguets for less?
What an absolute joke
Lot of money for a knockoff Breguet
Appreciate the thinness and overall size, but at this price one would expect a see through case back with a highly finished movement.
