The New Gagà Laboratorio Labormatic Cinquanta Azzurro & Champagne

The Cinquanta line continues to demonstrate Gagà's design-centric approach, with unconventional time displays that shift the focus to nostalgic colours.

Gagà Laboratorio Milano, founded in 2024 by Ruben Tomella and his friend and renowned tattoo artist Mo Coppoletta, expands its Labormatic Cinquanta line with two new dial colour variants for 2025: Labormatic Azzurro and Labormatic Champagne. While visually updated, these models retain the same technical specifications and construction as previous entries in the collection, with their main distinction being the new pastel blue and gold-toned dials.

Both new Gagà Laboratorio Labormatic Cinquanta models are housed in a 42mm stainless steel seven-part case, 13.3mm thick, featuring a distinctive architecture, with the crown at 12 o’clock. The dial is protected by a double-curved sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective treatment, while the caseback is fitted with a flat sapphire crystal to allow a view of the automatic movement.

The most significant update in these 2025 editions is the dial presentation. The Labormatic Azzurro features a matte pastel blue dial, while the Labormatic Champagne introduces a matte gold-toned dial. Both dials maintain the same eight-component design seen in previous Labormatic models, including a digitally displayed hour in the aperture at 12 o’clock, a nearly conventional analogue hand to indicate minutes on the Champagne version and a frame-style minutes hand for the Azurro, and a central disc that rotates to show the running seconds. There’s a difference in how the minutes are marked, too.

The movement inside both watches is the automatic calibre G-100, manufactured by La Joux-Perret. Operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour frequency, it offers a 68-hour power reserve. The movement has a customised oscillating weight for Gagà Laboratorio and features a stop-seconds function for precise time-setting.

Both watches are worn on colour-matched Saffiano leather straps, handmade in Italy and closed with a polished stainless steel pin buckle. The Labormatic Azzurro and Champagne models are priced at CHF 3,900 (excluding taxes) and are available from June 5, 2025, through Gagà Laboratorio Milano and authorized retailers.
