Following the limited Clive Cussler edition introduced earlier this year, the Doxa SUB 300 Ti5 takes the well-known, historically inspired design and reworks it in Grade 5 titanium. This time, however, titanium is here to stay. Available in six classic Doxa colours, the new collection brings a lighter, more technical execution to one of the brand’s most recognisable watches.

The SUB 300 Ti5 retains the proportions and the silhouette of the classic SUB 300. Its Grade 5 titanium case measures 42.5mm in diameter, with the relatively short 45mm lug-to-lug. Thickness is 13.4mm, including the characteristic domed glass box sapphire crystal. Titanium is used not only for the case but also for the crown and screw-in caseback. The watch retains the patented unidirectional rotating bezel with its dual scale for dive time and no-decompression calculations. Water resistance is 300m.

The new collection is offered in Doxa’s familiar Professional orange, Sharkhunter black, Caribbean blue, Red Coral, Sea Emerald green and WhitePearl. The latter is available with either a black or white rubber strap and is undoubtedly the most radical pair of references, with the entire dial coated in Super-LumiNova, making the watch an exceptionally luminous instrument in darkness. The dial is made of two superimposed Grade 5 titanium layers, with laser-cut openings in the upper dial and a sandblasted finish. All dive-related indications are treated with Super-LumiNova. The signature oversized minutes hand remains, and the date window stays at 3 o’clock.

The SUB 300 Ti5 is powered by a COSC-certified Sellita SW200-1 automatic. This well-known movement runs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations pe/hour and offers approximately 38 hours of power reserve. It displays the hours, minutes, central seconds and date.

All versions are worn on Doxa’s textured Dive Flex rubber straps, closed with a pin buckle. Depending on the model, the strap is either colour-matched to the dial or finished in black, while the WhitePearl can be ordered with either a black or white strap. The Doxa SUB 300 Ti5 joins the permanent collection and is available through the brand’s website and authorised retailers. It is priced at EUR 2,990.
