Tudor Returns to the F1 Grid with the Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26
Another season, another Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon, this time with yellow accents inspired by the VCARB 03 race car.
Tudor’s partnership with the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula One Team is now entering its third season, and by now it has produced a small family of watches that is beginning to stand on its own. After the two joined forces in 2024, we got the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic Blue, giving F1 fans a chance to own the same watch worn by drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Daniel Ricciardo. Then came 2025 and the Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon 25, which took inspiration from the team’s VCARB 02 race car. So why should 2026 be any different? Here comes the new Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26, inspired by the team’s latest VCARB 03 race car.
What makes this edition interesting is that it arrives at a time when the Black Bay Chrono is arguably the most diverse it has ever been. Browse the collection today and steel still dominates, joined by a handful of steel-and-gold models. But things have started to change. Carbon made its debut with last year’s BB Chrono Carbon 25, while colourful editions such as the Black Bay Chrono Pink and Flamingo Blue showed a more playful side of the collection. So, when it comes to unique takes on the Black Bay Chrono, the Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 does not feel out of place.
Even before the Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 reaches the wrist, the dark marbled texture of the case and bezel immediately separates it from its siblings. Not much has changed from last year’s version if you are wondering. The watch is still light and robust, it still packs the same movement based on the architecture of the Breitling B01, and it still carries the familiar Black Bay Chrono formula.
Measuring 42mm in diameter and 14.3mm thick, the carbon-fibre case features a matching fixed bezel with a tachymeter scale, while the caseback, crown, and chronograph pushers are crafted in titanium and coated in black PVD. Even the end-links connecting the hybrid strap to the case are made from carbon. With this execution, it is clear that reducing weight was one of the priorities behind the project.
The caseback is individually numbered, the crown features the Tudor rose in relief, and a domed sapphire crystal protects the dial. Water resistance remains 200 metres, more than enough for everyday wear. The usual Black Bay Chrono details are all present too, including the signature Snowflake hands, bicompax layout, and chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock
The main changes are found on the dial. Tudor once again uses the racing white base contrasted by black carbon-fibre sub-dials, and even the date window at 6 o’clock receives a carbon-fibre frame. The layered construction combines brass discs and carbon-fibre sheets, adding texture and depth to the display. This year’s yellow accents on the minute track, sub-dials, and date disc replace the blue highlights of the Carbon 25, bringing the watch in line with the VCARB 03’s livery. The display remains unchanged, with central hours, minutes and chronograph seconds, a 45-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and small seconds at 9 o’clock. Black-outlined hands and applied markers complete the dial and keep legibility high.
The Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 finds its power in Tudor’s Manufacture Calibre MT5813. This automatic chronograph runs at 28,800 vibrations/hour, offers around 70 hours of power reserve, and is certified by COSC. A silicon balance spring, variable inertia balance, and column-wheel construction remain part of the package, while Tudor regulates the assembled watch to a claimed accuracy of -2/+4 seconds per day.
The Tudor Black Bay Chrono Carbon 26 is paired with a hybrid leather-rubber strap with a tyre pattern and secured by a PVD-coated pin buckle. It will be produced in a limited run of 2,026 pieces. Pricing is set at EUR 7,980 or CHF 7,050, a premium over standard Black Bay Chronos.
