The New Hublot Big Bang Unico Reloaded, Incl. the Mbappé & Bolt Editions
Redesigned for greater impact, the Unico Reloaded amplifies elements of the chronograph movement across five new references and two ambassador specials.
Ever since Hublot detonated the Big Bang in 2005, the model has been the brand’s loudest expression of what it calls the Art of Fusion, a combination of bold architecture and experimental materials. Equipped with the brand’s first in-house flyback chronograph movement, Hublot welcomed the Big Bang Unico in 2010. Coming up for its 16th anniversary, Hublot celebrates with the release of the new Big Bang Reloaded. A five-piece sub-collection that amplifies elements of the chronograph movement with bold colours, showcasing materials that have marked milestones in Hublot’s trajectory, the Big Bang Unico Reloaded is Hublot’s main release for 2026.

The Unico, Hublot’s first in-house chronograph movement, was a proud moment for the brand. Not only did the 2010 Unico calibre power the watch, but it also came to define the collection, guiding the design to ensure maximum exposure. Continuously evolving, the original modular base calibre was upgraded in 2018 to become a trimmer, higher-performing, fully integrated movement. The second-generation Unico flyback chronograph movement holds five patented innovations, an accuracy of -2/+4 seconds per day and a robust 72-hour power reserve.

Exposed on the dial and caseback, the flyback chronograph stands out with features like the front-facing column wheel and dual horizontal clutch. Earlier this year, Hublot fitted the Big Bang with the Unico movement, meaning that all Big Bangs are now powered by the in-house calibre.
In a nutshell, the redesigned dial is less exposed but pushes certain movement features further into the limelight. Highlighting the column wheel and oscillating pinion in different colours, these are now framed with the inscriptions “Column Wheel” and “Liga Oscillating Clutch”. While the incorporation of a plate at the centre of the dial hides some components, it helps the dial look less busy and, consequently, more legible. Another Reloaded feature is the repositioning of the date, originally housed inside the 60-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, now located at 4:30 and indicated by a coloured Super-LumiNova arrow.

The 60-min sub-dial has been reworked with a bolder colour combination, a peripheral track with coloured markers at 10-minute intervals, and a coloured hand. The colour of the sub-dial hand is echoed on the tip of the central chronograph seconds hand, on the “Flyback” inscription on the peripheral track at 12:30 and the ring on the lower chronograph pusher (these two-tone accents are not used on the All Black model that sticks to a black and grey palette). The small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock has also been tweaked with a less openworked structure. On the back, a new openworked rotor with a cut-out H is engraved with “Hublot. Design & Manufacture Nyon”.

While the case maintains its former specs – 44mm x 14.5mm with 100m water-resistance – it now features a two-part bezel allowing Hublot to mix contrasting materials and finishes. The Big Bang Unico Reloaded comprises five references that showcase Hublot’s signature materials. The Magic Gold model is made from Hublot’s proprietary scratch-resistant 18k gold. Coloured ceramic, which is another Hublot speciality, is featured on three references: the All Black edition and the blue and dark green models. The fifth reference is a classic Hublot fusion of titanium and black ceramic.

Each watch comes with two straps: a fabric-style rubber strap and a black rubber strap, both with a folding clasp and the brand’s patented One-Click system. Launched as part of the permanent collection. Alongside the five regular production models, Hublot introduces two 200-piece limited Unico Reloaded editions with input from its star ambassadors, Kylian Mbappé and Usain Bolt.
Big Bang Unico Reloaded Kylian Mbappe
The striking Big Bang Unico Reloaded Kylian Mbappé edition fuses 18k King Gold with microblasted white ceramic. His “Trust Yourself” mantra is engraved at 6 o’clock, and a gold-toned “10” is a nod to his squad number. The new two-part bezel in King Gold and white ceramic frames the redesigned dial, with a gold H-screw on the exposed column wheel that matches the oscillating pinion, and yellow and black accents highlighting the chronograph functions. The watch is paired with a King Gold-coloured fabric strap and a Velcro fastener, and an additional black-and-white rubber strap with a titanium deployant clasp.

Big Bang Unico Reloaded Usain Bolt
The Big Bang Unico Reloaded Usain Bolt mixes black ceramic and carbon with an 18k yellow gold bezel, engraved with the inscription “Anything is Possible, Don’t Think Limits”. The green-tipped chronograph seconds hand is shaped like Bolt’s trademark lightning bolt pose, and the numerals between 6 and 8 o’clock read 6-5-8, which, when flipped, reads 9.58, a nod to the time of his 100m world record. Most striking of all, the caseback sandwiches authentic soil from his Jamaican training ground between two sapphire crystals inside a lightning bolt motif. The watch is paired with a yellow gold-coloured fabric strap and a Velcro fastener, and an additional black, yellow and green rubber strap with a titanium deployant clasp.
