The New Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Nonantième Enamel

A new dial colour and reverse case decoration bring a new dimension to an already handsome watch.

Since 1991, Jaeger-LeCoultre has marked each new decade of the Reverso with a special edition, beginning with the Soixantième, which celebrated the model’s 60th anniversary. Introduced in 1931, the Reverso remained a time-only watch until this milestone edition became the first to feature complications. A decade later, the Septantième showcased the brand’s expertise in movement manufacturing and aesthetic design. It was the first Reverso to feature an extra-large case, an 8-day power reserve, and a beautifully finished white gold movement visible through the reverse side. Fast forward to 2021, the Reverso Nonantième marked the collection’s 90th anniversary, and this year, it returns in a striking new variation, the Reverso Tribute Nonantième Enamel.

This newest edition of the Reverso Tribute Nonantième maintains the same 49.4mm x 29.9mm x 11.72mm pink gold case, adorned with the signature gadroons above and below the dial. Now presented in a refined grey sunray finish, the front dial retains applied golden indices and Dauphine-style hands. A framed aperture at 12 o’clock displays the date via two side-by-side discs, while a running seconds subdial at 6 o’clock integrates a classic moon phase complication.

Previously a gold surface without decoration, the reverse side is now a showcase of artistry and a defining feature of this new edition. The back is a celestial masterpiece, with layers of deep blue enamel sprinkled with 70 golden stars. Two displays, arranged in a figure-eight formation, offer a semi-jumping digital hour display against a white background, with a large aperture below revealing the minutes on a rotating disc.

The lower section is partially concealed by a three-quarter plate, lacquered in a deep blue hue and adorned with tiny pink gold stars to depict the night sky. The sun and moon at the centre serve as day and night indicators; a guilloché sunray pattern decorates the semi-circle below.

This latest iteration of the Nonantième is powered by the same Calibre 826, built with 243 components (three up from the 2021 model) and providing 42 hours of power reserve. The watch is worn on a black alligator strap with an interchangeable pin buckle.

The Reverso Tribute Nonantième Enamel is a limited edition of 90 pieces. The price is USD 74,000. For more details, please visit jaeger-lecoultre.com.
