The New Ulysse Nardin Diver X Skeleton White
The brand expands the bold offering by introducing lighter colours to the Diver X Skeleton.
In 2021, when Ulysse Nardin married the Blast collection’s skeletonised appearance to the design of its famous Diver watches, the result came in as a Diver X Skeleton, a model featuring a stainless steel case with a lightweight and highly durable carbonium bezel. A large blue PVD-coated “X” on the front and bright orange and white elements gave the model its distinctive look. The in-house UN-372 automatic movement, a modified version of the manually wound UN-371 used in Skeleton X models, now with an X-shaped oscillating weight, solidified the brand’s new offer.
Last year, Ulysse Nardin presented a new reference in the Diver X Skeleton line-up, in black with yellow accents, with a titanium case and black carbonium bezel. The watch, christened by the brand Diver X Skeleton Black, featured the same design and technical characteristics as the previous model. Come the year 2023, and UN reveals Diver X Skeleton White, I dare say, the most attractive of them all.
The 44mm Ulysse Nardin Diver X Skeleton White case is made from sandblasted and satin-finished titanium. As with the Black model, the choice of titanium makes the whole construction lighter than the original Diver X Skeleton watch from 2021 with a stainless steel case. The domed sapphire crystal borders a rubberised concave unidirectional rotating bezel, while the two previous versions had a carbonium insert. Six screws hold the titanium caseback in place. The caseback has a large sapphire window to enjoy the UN-372 calibre; its escapement wheel, anchor, and balance spring are all made from silicium, and the X-shaped weight winds the barrel that can store enough power to drive the movement for 96 hours.
The dial side or the front of the new Diver X Skeleton White is marked with a large “X”, and nothing else stands between the eye and the skeletonised movement. The dial, or whatever is left of it, exploits the beauty of white with shades of grey – grey are the hour indexes and the hands, Super-LumiNova filled, and the minute chapter ring.
The Ulysse Nardin Diver X Skeleton White comes with a white rubber and a white fabric strap with Scratch closing, R-Strap compatible. The rubber strap is adorned with a titanium plaque with the Ulysse Nardin logo and has a titanium deployant buckle. The watch is water-resistant to 200m and is already available to buy for EUR 26,800. For more information, please visit www.ulysse-nardin.com.

Let’s be honest it’s a mess, the unwanted love child of a Hublot and a Roger Dubuis with paternity claims from a Zenith defy…I do miss the days of glorious dials back in the days of the Marine Acqua.
