The Tudor Black Bay Goes Full Black Ceramic, Bracelet Included
The Black Bay gets a 3-link ceramic bracelet.
If there was the Black Bay Ceramic “One” (Only Watch) in 2019, the story of the Black Bay in Ceramic really started in 2021 with a watch that was then the first METAS-certified Tudor. On the occasion of Watches and Wonders 2026, we now get a full ceramic rendition of the model, fitted for the first time with a matching ceramic bracelet.
The Tudor Black Bay needs little introduction. Since its launch in 2012, the model has become the brand’s flagship, to the point of being seen as Tudor’s defining collection. Following the unique piece made for the Only Watch Charity Auction in 2019 (auctioned for about CHF 350,000 at the time), the first commercially available Black Bay Ceramic appeared in 2021 and was the first Tudor to be Metas certified (and the second time a brand submitted watches to METAS).
The 2026 full-ceramic version retains a 41mm diameter matte-black ceramic case. Its unidirectional bezel and crown are in black-PVD-treated steel. The watch is topped by a domed sapphire crystal. Courtesy of the screw-down crown and caseback, it is water-resistant to 200m. The sunray satin-finished black dial features applied hour markers and signature Snowflake hands, all contributing to the model’s monochrome, stealth aesthetic. The newly engineered three-link ceramic bracelet is fitted with a double folding clasp.
Inside the Tudor Black Bay Ceramic 7941A1ACNU is the in-house (Kenissi) self-winding calibre MT5602-U. A movement already used inside Black Bay models. The -U means it’s a Master Chronometer (METAS-certified) version, just like the first Black Bay Ceramic. However, the 2021 Black Bay Ceramic used the dark-finished MT5602-1U. This 31mm movement beats at 28,800 vph. Its variable inertia balance is fitted with a silicon hairspring. As a Master Chronometer, it offers superior precision (0/+5) and resistance to magnetic fields (15,000 Gauss). Its autonomy is comfortable, with a 70-hour power reserve.
Price is set at CHF 6,300, compared to CHF 5,000 for the ceramic Black Bay on hybrid leather/rubber. For more details, please visit the brand’s website.
