For the 2019 edition of Only Watch, the biennial fundraiser for research on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, Armin Strom presents a unique version of its complex yet minimalistic resonance watch, applauded for its unique take on chronometry. On this occasion, this timepiece is reinterpreted with blue accents, in reference to the colours of the charity’s eighth edition. In 2016, Armin Strom presented one of the most spectacular applications of the surprising synchronization phenomenon known as resonance. The brand’s innovative concept consists in connecting two independent balance wheels by a patented steel spring attached to their stud. The result is a watch with enhanced precision and greater stability. Presented in 2018, the Armin Strom Pure Resonance is a cleaner, more refined version of this innovative development.
With its 42mm diameter, the Unique Piece for Only watch is presented in stainless steel. It features short lugs, a thin bezel and the brand’s characteristic lip at 6 o’clock. Standing out against the innovative movement decorated with Geneva stripes, the hour and minutes dial comes in a dark blue sunray finish with white Roman numerals. The small seconds sub-dial is executed in light blue, the official colour of Only Watch 2019.
