The Stowa Chrono WRC Stage 1, an Automatic Chronograph for the World Rally Championship
Functional design with unmistakable WRC details for the automatic chronograph joining Stowa’s growing special series.
Following the recent introduction of the Flieger Verus Black Forest WRC, presented during the WRC Delfi Rally Estonia 2026, Stowa, the Official WRC Timekeeper & Watch Partner, moves from the compact pilot’s watch format to a considerably larger, purpose-built automatic chronograph, available in steel or a black-coated version.
The new Stowa Chrono WRC Stage 1 measures 44mm in diameter, 16mm thick and 49mm from lug to lug. The three-piece stainless steel brushed case with recessed flanks, hollow lugs, and a display caseback features a graduated bezel. The watch is offered either in its natural steel colour or with a black coating for the Stage 1 Black. For the Stage 1 Black edition, the finish extends to the piston-style chronograph pushers and crown. Both versions feature a sapphire crystal and offer 100m water-resistance.
The dial is executed in matte shades of grey and anthracite, with a highly functional, two-tone layout with a fine-grained minutes track. The central chronograph seconds hand and 30-minute counter introduce bright WRC orange accents that match the WRC logo above the date window at 6 o’clock. At night, the watch takes on a different appearance, with Super-LumiNova BGW9 on the hands and applied hour markers emitting a blue glow.
The watch is powered by the Sellita SW510 in Top Finish, an automatic cam-actuated chronograph calibre known for its robust Valjoux-based architecture and practical layout, here without the hour totaliser. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and offers around 50 hours of power reserve, with a quick-set date function.
The Stage 1 Steel can be ordered either on a stainless steel bracelet, designed to integrate with the case, or a black silicone strap. The Stage 1 Black is paired exclusively with the black silicone strap.
Priced from EUR 2,990, including VAT, the Stowa Chrono WRC Stage 1 is available immediately. For more information, please visit stowa.de.
