You Can Vote and Choose the Look of the Next Seiko 1965 Diver
Seiko gives you the choice of the look on its upcoming 2026 model.

How many times have you looked at a new watch and thought you’d do it differently? That’s something all of us, watch enthusiasts, do – yes, even at the office, we have our own ideas about some new releases. How many times have we read in the comment section, “the brand should ask its fanbase”, or “brand X should leave the creative department in the hands of collectors”? Well, now is your chance to express your opinion. For once, Seiko is not going to keep a secret about its next release. On the contrary, it gives you the opportunity to vote and decide what its upcoming 2026 Prospex 1965 Diver should look like. So, ladies and gentlemen, cast your votes.
This year is the 60th anniversary of Japan’s and Seiko’s first dive watch, the 62MAS, born in 1965. Sixty years later, this watch remains a great source of inspiration for the brand and continues to make headlines. We’ve seen an array of watches paying tribute to this important watch, such as the revamped 62MAS-inspired Seiko Prospex 1965 Divers 300m Collection, the Marinemaster Professional Titanium SLA081, which is the new top-of-the-range diver of the brand, or the Prospex 1965 Heritage Diver SPB511 Limited Edition.
The latter is worth mentioning as it will serve as a base for the votes and the upcoming 1965 Diver model, which is set to go on sale in 2026. Indeed, the next edition of the 1965 Diver will use the same 40mm steel case with 300m water-resistance and sapphire crystal, as well as the same bracelet with a micro-adjust clasp and the same movement, the calibre 6R55. Also, its unprecedented wave-patterned dial will be incorporated again, but be ready for some bold colour schemes.
While Seiko allows you to vote, it restricts the choices to four different versions, inspired by the “ever-shifting colours of the sea as time flows from sunrise to sunset” from dawn to sundown. The Seiko 1965 Diver’s watch expresses four seascape scenes – sunrise, daytime, late afternoon, and sunset – with the following options:
- Sunrise Orange – bright orange dial with dark hands, dark orange bezel
- Daytime Blue – light blue dial with silver hands, dark blue bezel
- Late Afternoon Green – sea green dial with gold-coloured hands, dark green bezel
- Sunset Red – red dial with gold-coloured hands, red bezel
The watch is planned to be released in 2026 (no more details for now). Details regarding the voting results and product launch will be announced on Seiko’s website at a later date. For now, all you have to do is visit this page and select your favourite Seiko Prospex 1965 Diver. Votes are open from July 1, 2025, at 12:00 AM (Japan Standard Time) until July 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM (Japan Standard Time).
I will personally vote for the green version. Let us know which one you prefer, and visit Seiko’s website to cast your vote.

I like the blue watch
I like both the Sunrise Orange and Sunset Red, looking forward to see these two models in near future…
Orange – could be great if the bezel wasn’t brown.
Blue – fine but nothing new.
Green – those two shades do not work together.
Red – clear winner… if a bit close to the (Tudor) mark.
The red is 🔥
Um where are the proper 60th anniversary models Seiko?
Are they going to put a decent movement in it for a change?
Red is a winner. Yellow looks like San martin vibe. blue and green, we have too many of those already… red is a clear winner.
Can we vote to delete that trashy ‘X?’
