The New Nomos Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer
A handsome, understated and contemporary take on one of the brand’s most practical displays.

For many years, the only two Nomos models that offered traveler-oriented functions were the Zurich Weltzeit (a.k.a Zurich Worldtimer) and the Tangomat GMT, which had airport codes to denote the 24 time zones. This year at Watches and Wonders, the Glashütte-based brand presents a new movement to power its Club Sport neomatik Worldtimer series, which comprises two regular models and six limited editions. Nomos calls the new release “a world-time watch for a new generation of watch lovers.” Here’s what we know.
The new Nomos Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer is presented in a 40.5mm diameter stainless steel case, 9.9mm thick. It has a screw-down crown at 3 o´clock featuring a red warning ring and a pusher at 2 o´clock to adjust the current time zone. The watch is 100 m water resistant, with sapphire crystals on the front (domed and with AR coating) and back.
The dial options for the regular editions include galvanised blue or silver, with a sunburst finish featuring a mix of Arabic numerals and indices with white Super-LumiNova. At the dial´s periphery, the rotating disk with the airport codes shows the name of the selected time zone at 12 o’clock, and the printed markings on the fixed ring next to it indicate the time difference to other places in the world.
The 24-hour subdial at 3 o´clock with the day/night indicator in either two-tone blue or blue and red displays the wearer’s home time. The rhodium-plated central hour and minutes hands come with Super-LumiNova inserts, and the home time hands are either red or plain rhodium-plated; the latter finish extends to the sub-seconds hands at 6 o´clock.
The Club Sport neomatik Worldtimer is powered by the new Nomos calibre DUW 3202, an automatic movement based on the proven neomatik calibre series. The DUW 3202 measures 31mm x 4.8mm, offers 42 hours of autonomy and features a stop-seconds mechanism, with the brand’s in-house made escapement and hairspring – the Swing system.
The Nomos Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer is worn on a stainless steel bracelet with quick-change spring bars to quickly change the look. In addition to the two classic models above, Nomos is also releasing six limited editions of the Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer, named Volcano, Jungle, Canyon, Glacier, Magma and Dune, all with boldly coloured dials inspired by adventure and travel. Each version is limited to 175 pieces.
Whatever the edition chosen, the Nomos Club Sport Neomatik Worldtimer is priced at EUR 3,940, a competitive price for such a rare complication. For more information, visit nomos-glashuette.com.
