With its position as Official Timekeeper of Formula 1, TAG Heuer has been hard at work delivering F1-themed watches during the entire 2025 season. Besides the Formula 1 Chronograph and special edition Carrera watches, the Monaco range is probably one of the most relevant vessels for racing-inspired models. The emblematic square chronograph, once worn by Steve McQueen on screen, has recently appeared in high-end F1-themed Split Seconds editions. But with the upcoming Las Vegas GP just around the corner, it’s another version that will be under the spotlight (quite literally…). Celebrating night racing, here’s a new version of the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Skeleton, in black DLC with a gradient purple/blue dial structure.

This new edition marks the second time TAG Heuer has released a Las Vegas-themed Monaco, following last year’s Link Panther edition. As with the latter, the new edition is based on the non-limited Monaco Chronograph Skeleton released in 2023, later seen in a dark blue edition.

Like all previous editions of the Monaco Skeleton, this night-race-inspired version is housed in a 39mm x 39mm square case, rendered here in matte black DLC-coated grade 2 titanium with a sandblasted finish. With a thickness of 15.2mm, a lug-to-lug of 47.4mm and a 100m depth rating, it’s a sporty watch with presence, as always with this collection. Classic features like the bevelled sapphire crystal over the dial and the elongated chronograph pushers on the right are retained.

It’s on the dial that the Las Vegas theme shines, with the openworked structure, an X-shaped element framing the square sub-counters rendered in vivid gradient tones, transitioning from purple to deep blue, echoing the descent from twilight into full night, as it will be the case at the Las Vegas GP. At night, the openworked structure reveals its true nature, with Super-Luminova accents: blue for the chronograph and its turquoise hands, green for the hours and minutes hands, as well as the date background, and purple for the X-shaped structure.

The sapphire caseback has a bold iridescent metalisation, ranging from purple to blue, and reveals the calibre TH20-00 underneath. This evolution of the in-house calibre 02 is an automatic, integrated chronograph with column wheel, a solid 80-hour power reserve and a modern 4Hz frequency. The watch comes equipped with a black rubber and embossed calfskin strap, with purple stitching and a folding clasp in black DLC titanium.

Released as a limited edition of 600 pieces, this Night Racing TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Skeleton is priced at CHF 11,000 or EUR 11,400. For more details, please visit tagheuer.com.
