Across its three-handers, GMTs, and even moonphase watches, the indie British brand has built a catalogue full of lively dials while keeping its Swiss-made watches at an accessible price point. That said, it is perhaps safe to say Farer has hardly been shy about colour. Most models stick to the round case, though the brand has also played with cushion-style shapes, bringing in a softly squared profile with smooth curves. That is where the Cushion Case collection fits in, with its design language tracing back to Farer’s 38.5mm cushion case introduced in 2022. Now that idea comes in a smaller interpretation with the new 35mm Cushion Case models, led by the Furneaux and Belzoni.

Apart from the case, a lot of the character on these new watches comes from the watch face. The Furneaux houses a dial in raspberry pink shades that darken towards the edge, while the Belzoni takes a cooler route with a teal version of the same gradient. Both watches keep the colourful touches Farer is known for, from the contrasting minute track to the coloured tip of the seconds hand. The textured dial surface sits under a clear lacquer, paired with polished batons and numerals and a polished steel sweep seconds hand finished with Farer’s signature ‘A’-shaped tip.

The case measures 35mm in diameter, making it the most compact version of Farer’s cushion design so far. Despite the smaller size, the watch keeps the same rounded cushion profile with curves and polished surfaces, highlighted by a brushed bezel chamfer. Water resistant up to 50 metres, the case is made from 316L marine-grade stainless steel. The scalloping between the lugs lets the strap sit snugly along the case, giving the watch an almost integrated look, and the crown is topped with a bronze cap insert carrying Farer’s embossed ‘A’ motif.

Visible through the sapphire caseback is the hand-wound Swiss-made Sellita SW210-1 b movement. Operating at 4Hz, the calibre offers a power reserve of around 45 hours and drives the hours, minutes, and hacking seconds hand.

The new Farer 35mm Cushion Case Furneaux and Belzoni are delivered on leather straps and priced at GBP 1,045. For more information, visit www.farer.com.

  1. Beautiful dials, especially the teal tone! Alas, the case is too small and the power reserve inadequate.

Farer, please use this teal tone in other models! ????
