Marvin Watches and our friends from Fratellowatches joined forces and created the Marvin Fratellowatches Malton Cushion Superhero Watch. Maybe you remember the Marvin Loeb Special Edition, that we choose as best watch under $ 5,000 in 2010.
Marvin found an advertisement from the 1950’s in their archives and used this as inspiration for this Superhero Watch. They will launch an 88-piece limited edition every year and for this very first edition they teamed up with Fratellowatches. One of those 88 will be auctioned for KiKa, the Dutch childhood cancer research.
Engraved in the case back of each of the 88 pieces will be the Fratellowatches’ initials. I think this the first limited edition watch, resulting from cooperation between a watch brand and a blog!
The Malton Cushion Superhero Watch comes in a PVD coated stainless steel case, measuring 42 mm wide, that is water resistant to 50 meters. The black textured dial with the superhero at 6 o’clock. Inside ticks an automatic movement from Sellita, caliber SW200, that offers 38 hour power reserve. This movement is more or less a clone from the well-known ETA 2824.
The Superhero comes on a black ‘Jack’ leather strap with red stitches and a black PVD buckle and comes together with matching cufflinks. How cool is that!
The price will be € 990 Euro and more information about availability and the auction for KiKa will soon be revealed at Fratellowatches here.
