The MeisterSinger Panthero Jumping Hour Gets new Sunburst Dials
The brand’s most ambitious collection to date gains new colourful sunburst dials.
The MeisterSinger Panthero Jumping Hour, introduced at the start of the year, combines a jumping-hour display with a new design language for the brand, best known for its single-hand watches. Rather than displaying the hours with a central hand, the time is indicated through a jumping-hour aperture at 12 o’clock, while a centrally mounted hand tracks the minutes on an off-centred scale. Despite the evolutionary change, the series remains faithful to MeisterSinger’s philosophy of experiencing time in a calmer, less hurried way.
Following the lacquered black or white dial regular editions, the limited and the Souscription versions with hand-guilloché silver dials, the German brand expands this collection with two new dial executions, bringing sunburst finishing and fresh colour combinations to what has quickly become a flagship model.
The watch remains housed in the Panthero’s 50m water-resistant stainless steel case, with brushed, polished and blasted surfaces. It measures 40.5mm in diameter and features a slim bezel that maximises dial opening. A sapphire crystal tops the dial, and the display caseback offers a view of the movement, contributing to the overall presentation.
As mentioned, these new models introduce a sunburst finish for the dial, radiating from the off-centred pivot of the minutes hand. Two versions are available. The first pairs a deep blue sunburst dial with silver-coloured display elements, including the minutes track, minutes hand, and the brand’s signature rotating sun wheel at 6 o’clock. The second gets a warm golden-yellow dial with dark grey display components.
Powering the watch is the calibre MS-JH-01, a Sellita SW300 automatic base (alternative to the ETA 2892), equipped with a proprietary jumping-hour module created in collaboration with Dubois-Dépraz. Operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour, the movement delivers a 47-hour power reserve, its rotor shape inspired by the fermata symbol found in the MeisterSinger logo.
The new Panthero Jumping Hour references are delivered on crocodile-embossed calfskin straps, closed with a folding clasp. The blue model is paired with a brown strap, and the golden-yellow version with a cognac leather strap. Additional leather, textile and metal bracelet options remain available. The MeisterSinger Panthero Jumping Hour Sunburst joins the permanent collection; the price is EUR 6,990. For more information, please visit MeisterSinger.com.
