The Sport Traveller is a new model from Laurent Ferrier that adds a dual time function to the brand’s titanium Sport series. The Sport Traveller continues the aesthetic first introduced with the Grand Sport Tourbillon and later refined with the Sport Auto, and the new watch combines the same smooth case and integrated bracelet with a traveller-style complication developed around a recently designed automatic movement.

The case is made from grade 5 titanium and measures 42mm in diameter and 13.3mm thick, with a slightly more robust presence while remaining comfortable on the wrist thanks to its lightweight material. The watch retains the fluid design that has become Laurent Ferrier’s signature, distinguishing it from the sharper geometry commonly seen in the sports watch segment. The construction is defined by a sculpted tonneau-shaped central container with a softened bezel, an evolution of the brand’s Square case concept. The bezel is decorated with circular satin brushing, the sides are mirror polished, and the case middle features vertical satin brushing. The screw-down spherical crown, a signature Laurent Ferrier element, remains, while a screw-fastened sapphire caseback reveals the movement. Water-resistance is 100m.

The anthracite opaline dial features a layout structured around a crosshair motif, with the minute track, small seconds scale and brand logo printed in powder grey. At 3 o’clock, an aperture shows the home time, a constant reference to the wearer’s original time zone. Opposite this, at 9 o’clock, a semi-instantaneous date display keeps track of the calendar. Both apertures look as if material is hollowed by a precision chisel, with a characteristic slope. The small seconds counter at 6 o’clock is finished with a fine snailed texture.

Time is indicated by the brand’s Assegai-shaped hands in white gold; the teardrop hour markers are also crafted from white gold and filled with light green Super-LumiNova. The Sport Traveller incorporates a dual time “traveller” complication, designed to allow quick adjustments when crossing time zones. Two pushers positioned on the left side of the case control the local hour hand. The pusher at 10 o’clock advances the local hour by one hour, while pressing the pusher at 8 o’clock moves it backwards. Importantly, these adjustments can be performed without stopping the movement, ensuring the watch maintains its accuracy.

Powering the watch is the new manufacture calibre LF275.01, an automatic movement developed specifically for the Sport Traveller. While Laurent Ferrier has previously offered traveller functions in its collections, notably with the LF230.02 movement featuring a natural escapement, this new model introduces the complication within a more robust, sports-oriented calibre and employs a Swiss lever escapement. The movement features a self-winding micro-rotor crafted from 950 platinum to maximise winding efficiency. Positioned between the mainplate and the rotor bridge, the micro-rotor ensures compact construction while maintaining optimal energy transmission.

The 240-component calibre measures 31.6mm in diameter and 5.8mm in thickness, operates at 28,800 vibrations/ hour, and delivers a 72-hour power reserve. The LF275.01 bridges feature horizontal satin brushing with ruthenium treatment, giving the movement a contemporary appearance. The micro-rotor bridge is hand-finished with mirror polishing and refined internal angles, achieved using traditional techniques such as gentian wood and diamantine polishing.

The Sport Traveller is paired with an integrated three-link titanium bracelet that mirrors the case’s finish, featuring vertically brushed surfaces and polished flanks, and is closed with a titanium deployant clasp. The price is set at CHF 61,000 (tax excl.).
