The New Jacob & Co. The World is Yours Dual Time Zone Tourbillon
An evolution of the first Dual Time model with a fast-paced tourbillon, a more curved dial and a new automatic movement.

One thing you could never accuse Jacob & Co. of is being boring. With some of the most extraordinary and extravagant timepieces on the market, Jacob & Co.’s watches are always spectacular visually and mechanically. The latest model is an evolution of the 2023 The World is Yours Dual Time Zone. Upgraded with a 30-second tourbillon placed under a compass rose, the watch is a miniature portable globe with golden continents floating in a blue sea with two separate time indications. The beauty of the watch is that each dial can be set independently to the exact minute.
The new World is Yours is on the tame, almost conservative end of the spectrum for Jacob & Co. The gleaming polished 43mm diameter rose gold case has a thickness of 10.4mm at the edge, rising to 18.1mm in the centre. The reason for its height responds to the incorporation of the double-paced tourbillon that had to sit in the middle of the new movement, not on the edge.
In the centre of the domed dial and at the highest point is the fast-paced 30-second tourbillon with a transparent sapphire carriage bridge, partially shielded by a compass rose. The curved dial is crafted from titanium and etched with a high-precision laser to create the detailed relief of the landmasses. The dial is then blued with a PVD technique while another laser removes the blue parts covering the continents, which are then treated with a 5N rose gold finish. With the Atlantic Ocean in the centre and the continents of North, Central and South America to the west and Africa, Asia, the East and the Arabian Peninsula to the east, the remaining regions of the world are printed in gold over the blue sapphire glass on the caseback.
Since each sub-dial can be set independently to the minute, the watch can reflect time zones with unconventional offsets of 30 or 45 minutes, like India and Australia. Although the owner can decide which sub-dial to deliver local and home time, they differ slightly. The one at noon has Roman numerals, and the second one at 6 o’clock has Arabic numerals, both with rose gold-plated hands inclined at 64º to sweep over the curved dial. For convenience, all the settings are done at the crown.
A new automatic movement – calibre JCAA45 – was developed for the watch with an off-centred platinum micro-rotor (a first for the brand) and an architecture allowing the tourbillon to sit in the middle of the movement. Beating at 21,600vph, the movement delivers a 65-hour power reserve.
The watch is presented on a blue alligator leather strap with an 18k rose gold deployant buckle. It is a limited edition of 199 pieces and retails for USD 230,000. More information at jacobandco.
