At just 45 grams in weight, strap included, the Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite is Norqain’s most advanced sports watch to date. It weighs next to nothing, but it is also built to withstand a proverbial beating if needed. The Norteq case, as well as the movement’s construction, are designed to withstand impacts of at least 5,000Gs. While that might sound ludicrously unnecessary, striking a golf ball at full swing can subject small, rigid components inside a watch movement to about that level of force, so it serves a purpose. Following this year’s black-and-yellow debut model, Norqain now returns to the world of ultra-light watchmaking with a turquoise edition of the Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite.

The Wild ONE Skeleton X-Lite uses a Norteq carbon composite, titanium and aluminium case, measuring 41mm in diameter and 11.95mm thick. At 48.7mm from lug to lug, it wears quite well on the wrist, especially considering the fact that it only puts an incredible 45 grams on the scale. The design is contemporary, with openworked sections and turquoise-coloured gaskets and elements.

As before, it lacks a traditional dial, revealing the mechanical heart underneath. A sloped flange and chapter ring carry the hour and minute markers, and time is indicated by skeletonised hands. Obviously, what was once yellow is now finished in turquoise, a hallmark colour we know from various other watches in Norqain’s arsenal.

Power comes from Norqain’s automatic 4K calibre Manufacture, developed with AMT. Running at a 4Hz frequency (28,800 vibrations/hour) and delivering a total of 65 hours of power reserve on a single barrel, it’s fully skeletonised front to back and COSC-certified as a chronometer.

Similar to its yellow-and-black counterpart, this new Wilde ONE Skeleton X-Lite comes on a semi-perforated rubber strap in black and turquoise, fitted with a Norteq pin buckle. Next to that, it’s also available on the ultra-light stretch strap in the same colours. Limited to 300 pieces, 100 more than the debut model, it retails for EUR 10,650, regardless of the selected strap. For more information, please visit Norqain.com.
