The Vibrant MeisterSinger Unomat Bright Orange Limited Edition

With this new Unomat, the German brand proves orange is the new black.

In 2021 MeisterSinger turned 20, and the brand’s anniversary was celebrated by launching, among other exciting timepieces of the new collection, the sporty and robust Unomat, which received the prestigious Red Dot design award the same year. The Unomat was available in steel with back or blue dials at that time. This summer, the company that made the single-hand time reading popular unveils a very limited edition Unomat in orange so bright it will stop traffic should the wearer-driver stick a hand out through an open car window.

The Unomat design features everything we’ve come to associate with MeisterSinger: the clarity of the dial with ample space, the needle-shaped hand, the double-digit hour numerals, the round-shaped aperture for the date and the clever markings on the outer edge of the dial to facilitate time-reading. Still, Unomat, the “strongest” MeisterSinger ever, is distinguished by its athletic appearance and performance. It is brought to you by a 43mm diameter brushed and polished stainless steel case with a solid back and a screw-down crown protected by crown guards. These features shield the customized Sellita SW400 automatic movement (with 38 hours of power reserve) from magnetic fields and provide water resistance of up to 300m, making Unomat a reliable adventure companion. The dial, made from soft iron, also contributes to the anti-magnetic properties of MeisterSinger Unomat.

The bright orange MeisterSinger chose for the dial of the new Unomat reference is matched by the equally bright orange rubber strap, and this edition looks like no other MeisterSinger creation. However, colours are not alien to the brand; think of the colourful Pangaea Day-Date or Perigraph timepieces. The new Unomat offers white glow-in-the-dark hour indices with corresponding double-digit numerals; only the 6 is replaced by the date aperture with white on black scheme. The needle-shaped hand keeps the larger than usual MeisterSinger dimensions, supporting the overall sporty feel and coated with luminous material.

The MeisterSinger Unomat in bold orange is released as a limited edition of 50, and the price is EUR 2,390. As mentioned, the watch has an orange rubber strap for fabulous looks. Previous Unomat editions offer a choice of a matching fabric strap or a solid-looking stainless steel bracelet; an orange fabric strap could be an excellent option.
