Immerse Yourself In Spy Thrills With The Bremont Argylle Collection
Matthew Vaughn's new film may excite you enough to consider your own Argylle-inspired timepiece.
In the upcoming February release, Matthew Vaughn unveils his latest cinematic creation, Argylle, delving into the entertaining and twisted world of espionage and spies. Drawing parallels to Vaughn’s other hit, Kingsman: The Secret Service (2015), known for its stylish clandestine intrigue, Argylle promises an equally riveting experience. Vaughn’s ongoing collaboration with the British watch company Bremont makes this announcement relevant to these pages. Having previously partnered with the Kingsman series, where Bremont was the official timepiece supplier, the alliance extends to this new Argylle collection.
Past collaboration birthed a collection of movie-themed models, and much to fans’ delight, Bremont introduces a trio of limited-edition timepieces inspired by Argylle and its enigmatic characters. We invite you to watch Argylle once in cinemas and decipher the connections while we unveil the Bremont timepieces inspired by Vaughn’s latest movie. For a complete experience, watch The King’s Man, starring Ralph Fiennes and Gemma Arterton, also directed by Matthew Vaughn. Yet, since the movie action took place 100 years ago, a different watch company was selected to provide an exclusive timepiece.
The Argylle
The Bremont Argylle is a GMT model inspired by the film’s main protagonist and based on the Bremont Solo 43, a dress watch in the brand’s past repertoire, yet without the GMT function. With dimensions of 43mm in diameter, 15.8mm in thickness, and a lug-to-lug span of 49mm, the Argylle features Bremont’s signature Trip-Tick three-part construction polished stainless steel case, 100m water resistant, with a distinctive black DLC treated middle barrel. The fluted push-down crown, decorated on the top, is at 3 o’clock; the exhibition case back, fixed with five steel screws with polished tops, is suitably engraved and allows a view of the movement with its custom-made winding rotor.
A domed sapphire crystal covers the diamond-patterned black metal dial, featuring a dual-colour chapter ring in black and nickel on the outermost inclined flange reserved for the GMT 24-hour scale, adding a practical touch to the design. The nickel-plated hour and minute hands are filled with blue-emission Super-LumiNova; the treatment extends to the gold-plated applied Arabic numerals and the outlined red tip of the golden GMT hand. Positioned at 9 o’clock, the running seconds subdial has a gold-plated hand with a diamond-shaped counterweight, integrating with the dial’s decorative pattern – a homage to the iconic Argylle diamond motif, as per the brand’s narrative. The date window graces the 6 o’clock position, accompanied by the series name in gold above it, while the familiar Bremont logo takes its customary place above the centre.
Powering the Bremont Argylle is the modified Caliber BE-69AV, a chronometer-certified movement operating at 28,800 vibrations/hour, offering a power reserve of approximately 56 hours. The watch is adorned with a black leather strap featuring contrast stitching and secured with a pin buckle. Limited to just 200 pieces, the Bremont Argylle is a promising blend of elegance and functionality, priced at EUR 5,950.

The Argylle Jet
The second model from the limited-edition Argylle series is the Bremont Argylle Jet, which is based on the design of the Bremont U-2 model. As for the movie character that inspired this watch, we leave the name out of the story for the sake of suspense and intrigue. The Bremont Argylle Jet boasts a 100m water-resistant stainless steel Trip-Tick case adorned with a sleek black DLC finish, measuring 43mm in diameter and 14.5mm in thickness, with 22mm lugs and a lug-to-lug profile spanning 50mm. The domed sapphire crystal tops its dial, while a screw-on display caseback reveals the intricate details within.
The case incorporates the brand’s patented anti-shock movement mount and a soft iron anti-magnetic ring. The crown at 2 o’clock controls the internal rotating timing bezel, while the crown at 4 o’clock is for the time setting. The black dial of the Bremont Argylle Jet features the series’ signature diamond pattern. Enhancing its aesthetic appeal, a tan-coloured “vintage” lume adorns the Arabic numerals and blue-finished hour and minute hands. The central seconds hand, distinguished by its diamond-shaped tip, pays homage to the film’s distinctive yellow color theme.
The Argylle Jet is powered by the automatic Caliber BE-36AE.OO, a chronometer-certified movement with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour and a 38-hour power reserve. Securing the timepiece is a black leather strap, closed with a black DLC-coated buckle. Limited to just 75 pieces, the Bremont Argylle Jet is priced at EUR 5,450.

The Argylle Elly
In the movie Argylle, Elly, the enigmatic author of bestselling spy novels, is thrust into a tumultuous reality that mirrors the fictional plots of her books. The Bremont Argylle Elly, designed to reflect a more feminine aesthetic, draws inspiration from the brand’s Solo 34 model and blends sophistication with functionality. The polished stainless steel Trip-Tick case of the Argylle Elly with a central barrel coated in black DLC measures a modest 34mm diameter and 10.7mm thickness, with a lug-to-lug distance of 41mm. Consistent with the other watches in this cinematic-themed series, the Elly has a domed sapphire crystal protecting the dial, a screw-on display case back revealing the inner workings, and a construction that ensures a water resistance of 100 meters. The crown is a screw-down type, though.
The elegant white dial of the Bremont Argylle Elly displays the signature diamond pattern. Its leaf-shaped hour and minute hands are delicately finished in blue, while the central seconds hand features a diamond-shaped tip in bright yellow, echoing the “Argylle” name on the dial. The minute chapter ring is adorned with a red triangle at 12, adding a touch of adventure.
The Bremont Argylle Elly is powered by the Caliber BE-92AV automatic movement, chronometer-certified, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations/hour, with a power reserve of about 50 hours. The watch is presented on a yellow leather strap, with production limited to 30 pieces, priced at EUR 4,000.

made in china
The comment above is beyond ignorant – and as if it’s an insult. These are great looking pieces, and I wished the GMT was 14,5mm.
Not made in China, made in Henley, I should know, I’m one of the watchmakers who proudly build them!!
Oh, and on the Jet, the 2H is the wind/set and the 4H is the internal rotating bezel 🙂
