Bremont‘s aviation-focused Altitude collection just added a new reference with a playful yet historically grounded collaboration: the Altitude MB Meteor Felix the Cat, created in partnership with Universal Products & Experiences. Why? It turns out that the cartoon character has a place in aviation culture, serving as a long-standing symbol of courage, humour, and good luck among pilots. Since the early days of U.S. naval aviation, Felix has appeared on squadron insignia, such as those of the VFA-31 Tomcatters, call sign Felix, whose emblem features the mischievous feline carrying a bomb.

The watch is based on the Altitude MB Meteor, the latest evolution of Bremont’s Martin-Baker-inspired pilot’s watches, featuring the brand’s signature Trip-Tick case construction, a three-part design that sandwiches a central knurled barrel between the case top and caseback. In this Felix edition, the case is made from Grade 2 titanium and finished in black DLC for a stealthy tactical look. The case measures 42mm in diameter, 12.23mm thick and 49.3mm lug-to-lug. As with the rest of the series, the movement is protected by a flexible rubber shock mount and a soft-iron anti-magnetic ring. Another signature MB feature remains intact: the bi-directional Roto-Click inner bezel, adjusted via the crown positioned at 4 o’clock. Water resistance is 100m.

The black dial retains the MB Meteor’s instrument-style layout but incorporates an image of Felix the Cat running away with the numeral six, a witty reference to the “Watch Your Six” aviation phrase. Large applied Arabic numerals and indexes are filled with white Super-LumiNova, emitting a blue glow in low light. Bright yellow accents on the minute track and the distinctive ejection-handle counterweight on the seconds hand reference the safety pull handles found on Martin-Baker ejection seats.

The Altitude MB Meteor Felix edition is powered by Bremont’s calibre BB14-AH, based on a La Joux-Perret G100 automatic movement. Running at 28,800 vibrations/hour, the calibre provides a 68-hour power reserve and drives the central hours, minutes, seconds and a date display at 3 o’clock. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, decorated with Felix the Cat artwork.

The watch is offered either on a DLC-coated titanium bracelet or a black leather strap, both equipped with a quick-release system. Limited to 500 pieces, the Bremont Altitude MB Meteor “Felix the Cat” is priced at EUR 7,150 on a bracelet and EUR 6,700 on a strap. For details, please visit bremont.com.

  1. Waiting for the negative comments in 3,2,1. I like it but I just picked up a Meteor with an orange barrel, so no Felix for me.

  2. I like this. Watch your six….As Felix steals it away. Fun, but also on point. It deserves to be a hit. Well done Bremont.
