The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Turquoise Enamel
Moser shows how old-school métiers d'art can be used to create enticing contemporary colours and textures.

Anyone familiar with Moser’s concept watches knows that ‘concept’, in Moser’s vocabulary, means maximum minimalism: no logos, no indices, no inscriptions…just the bare essentials. Moser is also intimately associated with beautiful dials and has shown how traditional métiers d’art, like Grand Feu enamel, can create strikingly contemporary dials. The latest Endeavour Tourbillon Concept is a mesmerising exponent of these two in-house specialities with its turquoise hammered Grand Feu fumé dial housed in a 40mm red gold case.
Moser’s first tourbillon complication surfaced in 2014 inside a Venturer and made its way into the Endeavour family in 2017, a collection distinguished by the recessed groove running along the case band. The new model comes in a luxurious 40mm red gold case with a thickness of 11.2mm.
The combination of warm red gold and turquoise is gorgeous. To create the dial, the white gold base is engraved with a hammered motif before receiving layer after layer of translucent enamel. Three different pigments are required to produce the iconic fumé or gradient effect that has become a signature of Moser. Using the Grand Feu enamelling technique, each application of enamel is followed by a stint in the kiln to obtain the rich, intense colour that will never fade over time. The chameleonic dial plays with different intensities, offering dreamy, summery colours in the centre and darker, more saturated tones on the periphery. With no logos or indices, the only elements on the dial are the elegant leaf-shaped hour and minute hands and the aperture for the tourbillon at 6 o’clock whirling under the skeletonised bridge.
The one-minute flying tourbillon is fitted with a double hairspring produced by Moser’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG. The pair of matched hairsprings significantly improves accuracy and isochronism and reduces the effect of friction commonly experienced with a single hairspring. The HMC 805 automatic in-house calibre has an 18k red gold rotor and can store up to 3 days (minimum) power reserve. Decorated with an anthracite finish and Moser’s signature double stripes, the movement can be viewed through the see-through caseback.
The Endeavour Tourbillon Concept Turquoise Enamel is paired with a grey ostrich leather strap and a red gold clasp. The price will be CHF 75,000 (excl. taxes). More information at h-moser.com.
