Frederique Constant has released the 2026 edition of The Elements Collection, an annual collector’s box set comprising three timepieces, each distinguished by a rare mineral dial. Presented in steel cases from the Classic collection and powered by manufacture movements, the Moonphase Date with a black onyx dial, the Tourbillon with a heliotrope dial, and the Perpetual Calendar with a turquoise dial are offered in 88 box sets, a tribute to the year the Geneva-based company was founded.

Since 1988, Frederique Constant has lived up to its “accessible luxury” motto, with more than 30 in-house calibres, including a wide range of sophisticated complications. Following the 2025 Elements Collection, which featured five in-house complications, the 2026 edition is a more streamlined collection of three complications with eye-catching mineral dials. Sharing Classic polished steel cases (ranging from 39 to 40mm) with onion-style crowns, the minimalist dials let the natural stone’s texture take centre stage, while the sapphire crystal caseback offers a view of the movement.

As anyone who follows the watch scene knows, stone dials have become one of today’s most pervasive trends. In addition to the artisanal skills required to cut the stone to the extremely tight tolerances required for a dial, the individual veining and inclusions of a stone, like human fingerprints, are unique, ensuring that no two dials will ever be the same.

Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture Onyx

The moon phase and date complication is a brand staple and was the second in-house calibre launched in 2005. Completely overhauled in 2024, the 40mm case houses the new FC-716 automatic with an extended three-day power reserve. Fitted with an inky black onyx dial to suggest the vastness of the cosmos, the black backdrop also imparts a sleek, minimalist aesthetic and highlights the single sub-dial at 6 o’clock uniting the two complications. The phases of the moon are staged against a black sky with silver stars. The applied, tapering dagger-shaped indices, shared by all three models, are diamond-cut and hand-polished, matching the dauphine hour and minute hands.

Quick facts: 40mm x 11.98mm – stainless steel case, polished – convex AR sapphire crystal – 50m water-resistance – black onyx dial – applied indices – polished hour and minute hands – sub-dial at 6 o’clock for moon phases and date – calibre FC-716 – in-house, automatic – 28,800vph (4Hz) – 72h power reserve – black alligator strap with folding buckle – ref. FC– 716ONB3H6 – limited edition of 88 pieces – CHF 4,895

Classic Tourbillon Manufacture Heliotrope

The brand’s first in-house tourbillon movement of 2008 – calibre FC-980 – complete with a silicon escapement, was a major milestone, and its affordable price tag sent a strong signal about the brand’s commitment to affordable luxury. Revisited in 2023 in a more compact 39mm x 11.14mm case with a minimalist dial, the limited edition features a stunning and rare heliotrope or bloodstone dial. With its dark green background, the stone is speckled with red iron oxide inclusions, as well as light green and even black inclusions. The oversized aperture at 6 o’clock reveals the 81-part tourbillon with a nickel hand mounted on the cage to indicate the seconds. Entirely adjusted and finished by hand, the individual number of the tourbillon is featured on the upper bridge.

Quick facts: 39mm x 11.14mm – stainless steel case, polished – convex AR sapphire crystal – 50m water-resistance – green heliotrope stone dial – applied indices – polished hour and minute hands – Heart Beat aperture at 6 o’clock for 1-minute tourbillon – calibre FC-980-4 – in-house, automatic – silicon escapement wheel and anchor – 28,800vph (4Hz) – 38h power reserve – dark brown alligator strap with folding buckle – ref. FC-980HE3H6 – limited edition of 88 pieces – CHF 15,995

Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture Turquoise

Considered one of the most demanding complications, Frederique Constant released its perpetual calendar in 2016, hailed as the most affordable QP on the market. Revisited in 2025 in a more compact 40mm case and powered by the new FC-776 calibre with an increased power reserve of three days, the classic layout stands out against the stunning turquoise stone dial. Unlike the 2025 Elements edition, this turquoise variant lacks the peripheral railway track, a smart choice that avoids cluttering the dial and lets the stone’s natural beauty shine.

Quick facts: 40mm x 12.25mm – stainless steel case, polished – convex AR sapphire crystal – 50m water-resistance – turquoise stone dial – applied indices – polished hour and minute hands – month and leap year counter at noon, date at 3, day counter at 9 o’clock, moon phases at 6 o’clock – calibre FC-776 – in-house, automatic, perpetual calendar – 28,800vph (4Hz) – 72h power reserve – blue alligator strap with folding buckle – ref. FC-776TU3H6- limited edition of 88 pieces – CHF 10,995
