Since the third generation of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas arrived in 2016, the Maison has expanded the collection with everything from simple three-hand models to perpetual calendars and tourbillons. Yet for a watch originally designed with travel in mind, a basic second-time-zone display was missing. This was addressed in 2018 with the Overseas Dual Time, and in 2021, the idea took on a more adventurous character with the titanium Overseas “Everest” editions, inspired by a prototype worn by explorer Cory Richards during his Himalayan expeditions. For 2026, Vacheron Constantin builds on this spirit with the new Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points series. The watch remains familiar, but the execution evolves with a full-titanium construction and four new dial colours.

The new Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points retains the model’s design and proportions. The case measures 41mm in diameter and 12mm in height, and for this new series, the case and integrated bracelet are crafted from titanium.  Finishing remains true to Overseas’ signature mix of brushed and polished areas that alternate across the case and bracelet, while the six-sided bezel, inspired by the arms of the Maltese cross, receives a matte anthracite-grey finish. The crown and pusher ring are finished in the same darker tone. The watch remains properly equipped, with a screw-down crown, sapphire crystals on both sides, and water resistance rated to 150m.

The collection revolves around the four cardinal points, each represented by a different dial colour and landscape reference. White evokes the icy expanses of the North, brown the continental plains of the South, green recalls dense forests of the West, and blue the horizon where sea meets sky in the East. Each dial is a showcase of multiple textures. The centre features a finely grained surface that reduces reflections, contrasted by a snailed date subdial at 6 o’clock, synchronised with local time and adjusted via a dedicated pusher at 4 o’clock.

Two concentric rings frame the display, a circular satin-finished inner minutes track and a lacquered outer track with numerals at 5-second intervals. The applied hour markers and central hour and minutes hands for local time are made from 18k white gold and coated with blue Super-LumiNova. The arrow-tipped hand indicating home time and the AM/PM indicator at 9 o’clock, linked to the home time display, are coloured bright orange for intuitive reading.

Turning the watch over reveals the automatic Calibre 5110 DT/3, which is the latest version of the 5110 DT, introduced with the Overseas Dual Time Ref. 7900V in 2018, developed and manufactured in-house by Vacheron Constantin. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and delivers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. Comprising 234 components, it is finished to the standards required by the Geneva Seal, guaranteeing both performance and high levels of decorative finishing. Through the caseback, the bridges display Geneva stripes and polished bevels, and the 22k gold oscillating weight features a wind-rose engraving.

The watch is delivered on an integrated titanium bracelet with a triple-blade folding clasp and the “Easy-fit” micro-adjustment system. Two additional rubber straps are also included: one in bright orange with a Maltese-cross-inspired texture, and another in the dial colour with a woven-style finish and orange stitching. The straps use interchangeable titanium folding clasps, and the price is CHF 33,700. More information at Vacheron-Constantin.com.
