Chopard celebrates 30 years since the founding of its Manufacture in Fleurier, and the L.U.C collection, named after Louis-Ulysse Chopard, continues to highlight the brand’s most technical and refined timepieces. Among the anniversary releases, the new L.U.C XPS Prussian Blue presents an evolution of the sector-dial model in green introduced in 2024. This new edition retains the same specifications and chronometer certification, but offers a different look with a vintage-inspired, blue-toned dial.

The case of the new L.U.C XPS Prussian Blue is crafted from Chopard’s proprietary Lucent Steel, a refined alloy with a high recycling rate and notable for its brightness and durability. Measuring 40mm in diameter and 7.2mm thick, it offers an elegant shape and well-balanced proportions, its slim profile providing excellent wearing comfort. The finishing alternates between polished surfaces and vertically brushed flanks, the AR-treated sapphire crystal protects the dial, and the movement is revealed through the transparent caseback. Water resistance is 30m.

The Prussian Blue dial with a sunburst satin finish features a sector-style layout, inspired by the popular 1930s design. Two concentric rings separate hours and minutes; the one for the hours is closer to the centre, and the outermost minutes ring is marked with double digits at five-minute intervals. The rhodium-plated dauphine hands indicate hours and minutes. The small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock adds visual balance and serves a functional purpose, as the indication is required for chronometer certification.

The watch is powered by the automatic L.U.C calibre 96.12-L, an evolution of the brand’s first in-house movement, introduced in 1996. This calibre measures 3.30mm thick, integrates a 22k gold micro-rotor and Chopard’s Twin technology with two stacked barrels, delivering a 65-hour power reserve. The movement is COSC-certified and features a stop-seconds mechanism for precise time setting. Finishing is traditional, with Côtes de Genève decoration.

The watch is worn on a brown calfskin strap with ecru stitching, closed with a Lucent Steel pin buckle. Chopard L.U.C XPS Prussian Blue joins the regular collection, priced at EUR 12,900.
