More Refined, More Powerful… Meet the New Citizen Tsuyosa 60 Automatic
An evolution of the brand's 1980s-inspired bestseller with more power, more refinement and a Jubilee-like bracelet.

Since its introduction in 2022, the Tsuyosa collection by Citizen has become one of the brand’s bestselling models… And rightfully so. Combining a 1980s design inspiration with integrated sports watch vibes, an automatic movement and a very reasonable price tag, it’s a great entry-level proposition that has attracted a lot of newcomers to the brand and to the world of mechanical watches. As you can imagine, Citizen has been working on expanding the collection, with new colours, smaller cases and different displays. And now comes the Tsuyosa 60 Automatic, a more refined, more detailed and more powerful version that also features a new 5-link bracelet.
Design-wise, the evolution remains minimal, at least for the case. The recipe is still the same and has some strong arguments. The Tsuyosa 60 Automatic is housed in the same case as the “standard” automatic version, measuring 40mm in diameter and 11.7mm in thickness. Made of steel, with brushed surfaces and polished accents, it is presented in 3 variants, in uncoated steel, bi-colour (yellow gold IP-coated bezel and crown) or fully rose gold IP-coated. The barrel-shaped case retains the same characteristics of other models, including a sapphire crystal on top with a magnifier over the date, a half-recessed crown at 4 o’clock and a see-through mineral glass caseback. Water-resistance is rated at 50m, sufficient but not exceptional either. But the similarities with the standard automatic version end there…
Let’s move to the main changes, first with the dial. Following the release of the Tsuyosa Small Second Automatic and by popular demand, Citizen now brings an identical texture to the central seconds Tsuyosa. It features a stamped guilloché-like pattern that adds depth and refinement to the collection, while retaining the highly legible (night and day) applied markers and hands. The intricate pattern is available in three colours. The uncoated steel edition (NK0020-55E) comes with a classic black dial, the two-tone version (NK0024-54X) with a trendy green dial, and the fully rose gold-toned model (NK0023-57L) with a blue dial. On all models, hands and markers match the colour of the case and the date is printed on a white background.
Another important evolution comes from the movement. The calibre 8210 found in the standard automatic models, with its unfinished brass look and 40h power reserve, is replaced in the Tsuyosa 60 Automatic by the calibre 8310. This automatic movement runs at a 3Hz frequency and is now capable of storing 60h of power reserve. Also, it is better finished with silver-toned bridges and plates, an openworked rotor, blue-coloured screws and stripes on the main bridge.
Finally, the 3-link metal bracelet is gone. The Tsuyosa 60 Automatic indeed features a slightly more refined 5-link, Jubilee-style bracelet with brushed external links and polished central links. Also, the clasp is now concealed and has a so-called butterfly construction for better integration with the overall design.
Available from authorised retailers later in September 2025, the Citizen Tsuyosa 60 Automatic will be part of the permanent collection. The steel/black version will be priced at EUR 379, a justified increase compared to the standard model priced at EUR 299. The bi-colour/green edition will retail for EUR 399 and the full-rose gold-coated version for EUR 429. For more details, please visit CitizenWatch.eu or CitizenWatch-Global.com.
