The New Salmon Version of the Brellum Duobox Triple Calendar Moonphase

A well-performing and good-looking timepiece just got to look a lot better.

Founded in 2016 in the Swiss Jura by Sébastien Muller, a fourth-generation watchmaker, Brellum is an independent brand known for its direct-to-consumer model and limited annual production of no more than 299 COSC-certified chronometers. The brand debuted with the Duobox collection, recognised for its classic design, accessible pricing, and limited editions, including models featuring a full calendar chronograph. Last year, Brellum expanded the collection with the Duobox Triple Calendar Moonphase LE Chronometer, a stainless steel timepiece with a silver-toned dial, an evolution of the earlier Classic Chronometer, offering the same functions. Now, Brellum enhances the offer with a captivating salmon-coloured dial and a choice between stainless steel or lightweight titanium cases, elevating this refined timepiece’s aesthetic and appeal.

The latest version of the Brellum Duobox Triple Calendar Moonphase LE Chronometer arrives in a choice of stainless steel (90 grams) or titanium with a steel bezel (72 grams), water-resistant to 100 meters. The case with alternating brushed and polished surfaces measures 41.8mm in diameter and 11.7mm thick, excluding the domed sapphire crystals on both sides. With those box-style crystals included, the total height comes to 15.9mm. At 3 o’clock, a large knurled crown engraved with the Brellum logo is flanked by the two polished piston-style chronograph pushers.

The opaline salmon-coloured dial sets this edition apart, finished with a subtle sunburst effect. Applied steel Roman numeral hour markers add depth to a multi-level design, while triangular indices at the cardinal points cleverly free up dial space, preventing visual clutter. Around the edge, a date track and minutes/seconds scale are neatly integrated. At 12 o’clock, the 30-minute chronograph counter also houses the day and month windows. The moon phase display is nestled within the 12-hour chronograph subdial at 6 o’clock, while running seconds are shown at 9 o’clock, complete with a day-night indicator.

The diamond-cut hour and minute hands are treated with Super-LumiNova for better low-light visibility. All hands are finished in silver tone, except for the blued central chronograph hand and the day-night pointer, adding a nice contrast.

The watch is powered by the automatic Brellum Calibre BR-751, based on the Valjoux 7751, a full-calendar evolution of the classic 7750. This COSC-certified movement features a Glucydur balance, Anachron hairspring, and beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, delivering a 46-hour power reserve. Finishing touches include perlage, Geneva stripes, heat-blued screws, and Brellum’s signature 4N gold-coated “moon-inspired” rotor.

The watch is paired with a handmade black leather strap and comes with a stainless steel or titanium deployant clasp, matching the case material. Limited to 33 pieces, the salmon Duobox Triple Calendar Moonphase LE Chronometer is priced at CHF 3,690 in steel and CHF 3,890 in titanium (incl. taxes). Pre-orders are open now, with deliveries starting at the end of April. For further details, visit brellum.swiss.

  1. Fantastic value at that price, especially considering it’s such a small edition!
