The New Peninsula Professional from Bangalore Watch Company
With India having so much to offer adventurers, it's only natural to provide explorers with a fitting timepiece.

Bangalore Watch Company, founded in 2018 by Nirupesh Joshi and his wife Mercy Amalraj, is a watch brand that pays tribute to its Indian roots, by crafting timepieces inspired by the country’s history, spirit, nation-favourite sport and technological achievements. And now, with the Bangalore Watch Company Peninsula Professional, it has the right watch to explore its diverse landscapes and natural beauty.
The Bangalore Peninsula Professional is a new series designed as a recreational timepiece, built for both diving and hiking, an all-purpose outdoor companion with 200m water resistance… Rugged enough to explore the ocean depths yet capable of accompanying adventurers to Himalayan peaks towering over 8,000 meters, as the brand puts it.
The watch is presented in a 44mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 13.75mm and has a smooth, pebble-like profile. It features a highly domed sapphire crystal, a solid screwed caseback, and a screw-down crown at 3 o’clock. While its bezel-less, pebble-shaped design may draw comparisons to other iconic pebble-inspired cases, the pebble is a universal natural form – just as much a part of India’s landscape as anywhere else. And while the diameter might feel large at first, the lug-less design means that it’ll wear compactly on the wrist.
The Peninsula Professional collection is available in four dial variations, each representing a different facet of India’s rich landscape and geography. The green Agumbe is inspired by the rainforests, the Blue Laccadive is a tribute to India’s extensive coastlines, and the white Zanskar is about the Himalayan region and their towering peaks. The black Mannar is a limited edition with a rare black mother-of-pearl dial, as well as a black coated case.
The dial boasts luminous applied hour markers, with dot indices except at 3 and 9 o’clock, where they take the form of triangular plaques featuring symbols for water and trees. A triangle at 12 o’clock and a short horizontal bar below the date window at 6 o’clock complete the visual balance.
Powering the Peninsula Professional is the Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement (an alternative to the ETA 2824), delivering 41 hours of autonomy. The watch comes fitted with a fluoroelastomer high-density rubber strap, available in various colours, and secured with a steel pin buckle.
Priced at USD 1,250, the Bangalore Watch Co. Peninsula Professional is available for order starting today via the brand’s official website, www.bangalorewatchco.in.

Nice looking watches and the company has shown nice progressive growth and designs. One thing to note the induces at 3 and 9 are rectangle and the 12 o’clock is a triangle.
C’mon it’s Ikepod…
Sorry, but a wee bit on the ugly side for me.
Has old Omega vibes.
So copying Ikepod design is not cool. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
