Yema Superman Bronze CMM.10 Limited Edition
A new, finer version of France's most iconic diver, powered by Yema's latest in-house calibre.
Among French watchmakers, few names carry as much heritage and affection as Yema. Founded in 1948 in Morteau, the brand’s history is tied to adventure and innovation, with the Superman diver becoming its most emblematic creation. Over the past decade, Yema has made a remarkable comeback, not only reviving its legendary designs but also re-establishing a tradition of French-made mechanical watchmaking by launching a micro-rotor calibre and even a proprietary tourbillon. Building on the success of the Kickstarter-launched Superman Bronze CMM.10, powered by the new movement designed and developed by Yema with the help of watchmakers such as Olivier Mory, the brand introduces the Superman Bronze CMM.10 Limited Edition, a “refined” dive watch that blends neo-vintage style, advanced mechanics, and French savoir-faire.
The Superman Bronze CMM.10 combines the model’s classic diving DNA with a warmer, more distinctive bronze construction. Available in 39mm x 10.85mm or 41mm x 10.95mm, with lug-to-lug measurements of 48mm and 49.5mm, respectively, the case features a mix of brushed and polished finishes, giving it a refined yet rugged appeal. The double-domed sapphire crystal (2.20mm thick, and not included in the thickness measurements mentioned above) reinforces the vintage look and improves legibility underwater.
The unidirectional, 60-minute graduated bronze bezel, here with the brand’s signature locking device, is finished with a fine circular brushing and a luminous Grade A Super-LumiNova marker, supporting professional diving functionality. A screwed exhibition caseback reveals the in-house movement, and a screw-down crown contributes to a comfortable 300m water resistance.
The big news is an unprecedented two-layer “sandwich” dial in a deep, gradient blue has a luminous Super-LumiNova foundation that shines through precisely cut, outlined indices in the upper layer, which features a refined vertical brush finish. The result is a dynamic dial that shifts from navy to light blue with changing light. Diamond-cut hands with a bronze finish are treated with Grade A Super-LumiNova, while the oversized “lollipop” seconds hand(also with lume), a design inspired by 1970s Superman models, adds a nostalgic touch.
The Superman Bronze CMM.10 is powered by the Calibre Manufacture Morteau 10 (CMM.10), a three-hand automatic movement with central rotor, entirely designed, manufactured, and assembled in Yema’s French workshops or by nearby suppliers. Running at 28,800 vibrations/hour, it offers a robust 70-hour power reserve and chronometric precision of -3/+5 seconds per day. The movement boasts a modern, symmetrical mainplate architecture, a transversal balance bridge for enhanced shock resistance, and high-grade regulating components including a Glucydur balance, Nivarox hairspring, and Incabloc protection.
Each model is offered on new integrated FKM Viton rubber straps – the watch is delivered with two of them, in white and in blue. Flexible, dust-resistant, and comfortable, it is closed with a brushed bronze pin buckle that will age consistently with the case. The strap is available in two sizes for an optimal fit.
The Yema Superman Bronze CMM.10 Limited Edition is limited to 100 numbered pieces per case size. Retail price is EUR 1,790, and every watch comes with a five-year international warranty. For more details, please visit yema.com.
