Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024 Announced, Opening Its Doors Even More to General Public

The greatest watchmaking show is once again happening in Geneva...

With nearly 50 brands exhibiting and 43,000 unique visitors (a 50% increase over 2022), the 2023 edition of Watches and Wonders Geneva has been a genuine success. This fair, the only one surviving after the death of Baselworld, has become an inescapable moment in the watchmaking calendar, with the participation of industry heavyweights (Richemont, LVMH, Rolex, Patek Philippe and more) and independent watchmakers. While the occurrence of the 2024 edition wasn’t even to be debated, we still don’t know who will leave or join the show. Still, we know the dates for Watches and Wonders Geneva 224, aso the fact that the Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation wants to open its doors more to the general public.

The upcoming edition of Watches and Wonders Geneva will be held from 9 to 15 April 2024 in Geneva’s Halles de Palexpo, as has been the case for most previous editions of the W&W and the SIHH (the name of the fair before brands like Rolex, Patek or Chopard, or the LVMH Group entered). All the brands taking part in Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024 will be announced at a later date, along with the full programme. However, we can expect most of the prominent actors of the watch industry to come back, with the alleys of Palexpo showcasing watches from Cartier, IWC, Lange, Rolex, Tudor and undoubtedly many more. Considering the overall success (with a few disappointments in the so-called Carré or La Place, hosting some questionable brands), it would seem logical to set another enlargement of the list of exhibiting brands in 2024.

The WWGF (Watches and Wonders Geneva Foundation), the organisation behind this watch fair (with Jean-Frédéric Dufour (Rolex CEO) serving as Chairman and Emmanuel Perrin (Richemont Group) as Vice-Chairman), however, wants to bring even more attention to the attendance of the general public – understand by that non-professional from the industry. Apart from the traditional presence of the press and retailers, the idea is to make the fair accessible to watch enthusiasts. As such, the general public will be able to attend the event over a long 3-day weekend, from Saturday to Monday inclusive. Press and trade visitors will have access to the Salon throughout the week.

The Watches and Wonders Geneva 2024 programme will again unfold in two parts – at Palexpo and In the City – with an evening event on Thursday, 11 April, in the heart of town. As said, the list of exhibiting brands and the full programme will be disclosed at a later date, but at least, knowing the dates 9 to 15 April 2024 – and 13 to 15 April 2024 open to the public – you can already book your flights to Geneva…

  1. Hello,

I would be curious to know which newcomer brands disappointed you in the last show, as I have not been able to find an objective review of the show, with the good and the bad.

However, I understand it can be delicate to disclose names…

    Thank you
