One rally, around 200 classic cars, and another dedicated Silvretta chronograph from Union Glashütte.
Every summer, hundreds of classic cars take to the Alpine roads of Austria’s Montafon region for the Silvretta Classic. This rally has become a regular fixture in Union Glashütte‘s calendar too, with the German brand releasing a dedicated limited edition almost every year. The Viro Chronograph Silvretta Classic 2023, with its bicompax layout, was followed by the Belisar Chronograph editions of 2024 and 2025. And now, for this year, Union Glashütte’s latest Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 shifts gears once again, turning to the rally scene of the 1980s. As with previous editions, the watch is produced as a limited edition.
Unlike last year’s beige-and-grey combination, Union Glashütte has gone for white, black, and grey tones accented by yellow and red details. This dial combines a white base with a partially grey, granulated section, while yellow and red accents bring a welcome splash of colour and break up the otherwise monochromatic look. On the sub-dials, you will quickly notice the black rings and red highlights, and the central chronograph hand also features a red tip. Together, they bring in the style of the gauges often found in classic rally cars. There are also black PVD-coated hands filled with Super-LumiNova that tie in nicely with the black sub-dial outlines and tachymeter scale.
Water-resistant to 100 metres, the Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 is housed in a sizeable 44mm stainless steel case with screwed flanks. Mushroom-shaped pushers and a large crown add to its sporty character, while a domed sapphire crystal sits atop the dial. This latest Belisar chronograph watch offers great versatility with three strap options, all equipped with a quick-change system: a yellow textile strap with white stripes, a stainless steel bracelet, and a black leather strap with yellow lining. Switching between them should take only a few seconds thanks to the quick-change system.
Powering the Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 is the automatic calibre UNG-27.S1, a cam-operated chronograph based on the emblematic Valjoux 7750 architecture. Equipped with a silicon balance spring, it runs at 28,800 vibrations/hour and offers a power reserve of at least 65 hours. Alongside the time and date functions, it also drives the chronograph display with 60-second, 30-minute and 12-hour counters.
The Silvretta Classic returns from 9 to 11 July 2026, when around 200 classic cars will once again rumble through the Alpine passes of the Montafon region. Continuing this partnership, the Union Glashütte Belisar Chronograph Limited Edition Silvretta Classic 2026 is limited to 200 individually numbered pieces and priced at EUR 3,450.
