The Eye-Catching Two-Tone Titoni Seascoper 300 Bicolor

A two-tone steel and golden wetsuit elevates the luxury factor of the brand’s robust diver.

Inspired by some of the most iconic dive watches produced in the 1950s, Titoni introduced its Seascoper 600 dive watch in 2020. Boasting a formidable 600m depth rating and a Swiss-made COSC-certified in-house automatic movement, the Seascoper 600 was joined by a younger brother two years later: the Seascoper 300. With half the water resistance (plenty), a thinner profile, and an outsourced chronometer-certified Sellita movement, the more versatile and affordable Seascoper 300 returns with a snazzy upscale two-tone wetsuit.

Although they might look very similar and share 42mm cases, the Seascoper 600 and the Seascoper 300 can be distinguished by their bezels and dials. The Seascoper 600 features numerals on both, while the Seascoper 300 pares down the information and relies on markings on the bezel and indices on the dial, making it slightly easier on the eye and ultimately a more versatile everyday sports watch.

Embodying classic dive watch codes, the 42mm Titoni Seascoper 300 Bicolor has a solid build with crown guards, a screw-down crown and caseback to ensure the 300m depth rating. With a thickness of 12.55mm and a lug-to-lug of 52.17mm, the case is mostly brushed. However, the case flanks are polished and there is an attractive polished bevel on the internal part of the lugs.

The scratch-resistant ceramic inserts on the bezel, in deep blue, racing green and black, have engraved markings with contrasting golden interiors, including the inverted triangle with a luminous pip at noon. Designed to enhance grip, the serrated notches of the bezel are gold-plated, matching the screw-down crown.

The inky-black lacquered dial allows the golden elements on the dial to stand out. The eleven applied hour markers have golden frames and generous plots of luminescent material, like the gold-coloured handset filled with Super-LumiNova. Perhaps the date window, which has a white frame, might have benefitted from a golden frame to blend in with the scenery, but it does match the white minutes track and the inscriptions.

For a more powerful two-tone look, the Seascoper 300 has a bicolour 3-link stainless steel bracelet with a gold PVD-coated central link. However, for a more understated look, the black and green bezel references are available without gold-plated centre links. The well-designed bracelet has a folding clasp with push buttons and a diver’s extension.

The caseback features a marine-inspired porthole with bolts and a mirror-polished finish that hides the movement. Powered by a Sellita SW200-1 automatic, the movement delivers a power reserve of 40 hours and has COSC-chronometer certification.

The new Bi-Colour Titoni Seascoper 300 collection retails for CHF 1,720 / EUR 1,765 / USD 1,900 and is available at titoni.ch and selected retail partners.

  1. Thank you Rebecca, for an excellent article and great photos. I picked up the 600m rated 83600 SY-BK-256 model with the T10 movement a few years ago directly from Titoni and have been extremely pleased with the watch in all respects. Just an outstanding Swiss brand in my opinion. Thank you, Greg
