As most of you might know as of now, Tudor is now deeply involved in cycling, not only as one of the sponsors of a team, but actually the brand is the sole sponsor of a racing crew, partnering with cycling legend Fabian Cancellara to create the Tudor Pro Cycling Team. Tudor unveiled a special edition Black Bay Chrono, available exclusively to team members. Last year, on the occasion of the Giro d’Italia 2024, Tudor presented its first commercially available cycling-themed watch, the Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono Cycling Edition, which we were fortunate enough to test for a few days while chasing Cancellara. Earlier this year, for the 2025 Giro d’Italia, it was time for a limited edition Pelagos FXD Chrono Pink, inspired by the Maglia Rosa, or pink jersey, offered to the winner of the race. And with the Tour de France just around the corner, we now have the Pelagos FXD Chrono Yellow, based on the Maillot Jaune, or yellow jersey.

This watch is released as a tribute to racing legend and team owner Fabian Cancellara. He competed in the Tour de France, one of the most prestigious cycling events in the world, for the first time in 2016. There, he has led the race – or worn the yellow jersey as cycling aficionados say (the maillot jaune or yellow jersey being given to the leader of the general classification) – for a total of 29 days, not to mention eight stage victories. In 2025, Cancellara returns to France but this time as a team owner, and he’ll have a touch of yellow on the wrist, with the new Pelagos FXD Chrono Yellow, a limited edition that will also be available to the public.

What has changed, compared to the Pelagos FXD Chrono Cycling Edition and the Pelagos FXD Chrono Pink? Objectively, not much. Here, the Pelagos FXD Chrono Yellow is just a matter of coloured accents on the dial and strap. Everything else is identical. So, as a short reminder, what you should know is that we’re talking about a watch from the FXD family, meaning that it is equipped with fixed lugs. But here, it’s not a dive watch but a racing chronograph with a fixed bezel and a case made of carbon fibre. Not so different from the recent Black Bay Chrono Carbon 25. The 43mm diameter x 13.2mm thickness case, with its integrated lug modules, is made of black matte-finished carbon composite, so light and robust. It’s equipped with direct-action pushers (not screwed) and features a sapphire crystal on top, and a screwed back.

Compared to the pink edition of last month, the dial is identical, save for the yellow accents on the sub-counters and tachymeter scale. This means: matte black dial, bi-compax layout, date at 6 o’clock, luminescent ceramic composite monobloc applied hour markers, snowflake hands and a special cycling tachymeter scale, wrapped around the dial and meant to display the average speeds at which cyclists normally operate (often below the minimum 60km/h found on most tachy scales). Under the caseback with specific engravings and the unique number of the watch is the calibre MT5813, a movement derived from the Breitling B01 architecture, modified with a silicon hairspring and COSC chronometry certification. It runs at a 4Hz frequency and stores 70 hours of power reserve.

The Tudor Pelagos FXD Chrono Yellow comes on a one-piece black technical fabric strap with matching hardware and a yellow stripe in the middle. It is a limited edition of 300 pieces and retails for EUR 5,550. For more details, please visit www.tudorwatch.com.

  1. Nothing against Tudor, they make a nice watch. Just me but I was never a fan of the hour hand.
