Since becoming the official timekeeper of the MotoGP championship in 2001, Tissot has connected itself firmly to the sport through trackside timing systems and watches that speak the design language and mechanical intensity of motorcycle racing. The T-Race MotoGP collection was first introduced in 2003, and the brand has since created many motorsport-inspired references, with a new series presented every year. For 2026, alongside the usual set of quartz models, Tissot reveals the new edition of the T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph.

This new chronograph uses the case construction introduced with the latest generation of T-Race models, a design that brought logic and maturity to what has long been one of Tissot’s boldest collections. The 45mm stainless steel case is large, but thoughtfully engineered. Its multi-layer construction quotes motorcycle mechanics: engine-cooling fins along the mid-case, oversized pushers inspired by control levers, and a bezel shaped like a brake disc, with a forged-carbon insert and a black PVD coating. Water-resistance is 100m, in line with the watch’s positioning as a robust sports chronograph.

The dial is openworked, just like the 2025 edition, placing the movement front and centre. A white-on-black tachymeter scale frames the display, and nickel-black hands and applied markers are filled with Super-LumiNova. The central chronograph’s red seconds hand is a link to MotoGP’s colour codes and racing graphics. The small seconds subdial is at 9 o´clock, the 30-minute counter is opposite at 3, while the 12-hour counter is represented by a small hand and a 12 mark only: there´s no subdial ring or track.

Just like the T-Race MotoGP 2025 model, the 2026 T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph is powered by the Valjoux A05.951, developed specifically for the series, an evolution of the A05.231, itself a modernised iteration of the legendary Valjoux 7750/7753. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and equipped with a Nivachron balance spring, the movement offers resistance to magnetism and long-term stability. The chronograph is actuated via a cam system, and the skeleton construction allows partial visibility of the gear train and chronograph works.

The 2026 T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph is worn on a red rubber strap, and each piece is delivered in a helmet-shaped presentation box. Limited to 2,026 numbered pieces, the new Tissot T-Race MotoGP Automatic Chronograph is priced at CHF 1,965 including taxes. For more details, please visit tissotwatches.com.

  1. Yes it’s cheap but not really inspired, as mentioned above it looks like a budget hublot, not a good thing. A rare miss for Tissot.
