Esteemed watch journalists Nick Meijer and Kristian Haagen form the duo behind DailyWatch, one of the largest media outlets dedicated to watches. Through DailyWatch, they cater to mechanical watchmaking in every sense of the word. Today the two men are presenting DailyWatch’s first-ever limited edition in collaboration with Frederique Constant. With a focus on purity, the Frederique Constant Flyback Chronograph DailyWatch is free of any frills and comes in a fresh white colour.

Frederique Constant is known for its devotion to accessible luxury and has created an impressive range of manufacture movements. By making full use of the Citizen Group’s capabilities, FC manages to impress time and time again with reliable and relatively affordable in-house made movements and watches.

The Frederique Constant Flyback Chronograph DailyWatch is an evolution of FC’s standard flyback chronograph watch but with a few interesting changes. The stainless steel case, brushed and polished, remains unchanged and measures 42mm in diameter. The chronograph pushers are used to start, stop and reset the chronograph. Being a flyback chronograph, pressing the 4 o’clock pusher resets the chronograph on the go.

In pursuit of purity, the dial is free of any frills and comes in a fresh white colour. The applied indices have a matching white insert with Super-LumiNova. The hands are polished for the time and date indications, with luminous inserts for the hour and minute hands. The chronograph central seconds and 30-minute totaliser hands are blue-coloured for that extra bit of contrast. A boxed sapphire crystal covers it all.

The watch uses the calibre FC-760, which is developed in-house. This flyback chronograph movement is wound automatically and can be seen through the sapphire crystal caseback. It runs at a frequency of 28,800vph and provides 38 hours of running time when fully wound.
