I know that, for many watch enthusiasts, what’s coming will sound like something absolutely boring. After all, they could be right. Yet, we’re talking about Rolex here, and for the Rolex community, everything new to a watch, even the smallest detail, is something big. Apart from the updated Rolex Explorer II, and the comeback to the 36mm diameter for the Explorer 1, Rolex is also (discreetly) bringing back the option of the Oyster bracelet, in addition to the Jubilee bracelet, to the GMT-Master II Batman 126710BLNR and Pepsi 126710BLRO.

There were multiple distinctive elements that defined the new generation of GMT-Master II when introduced in 2018. Under the reference 126710BLRO, Rolex unveiled a new movement, Calibre 3285, a slightly redesigned case, the oh-so-desirable two-tone red-and-blue “Pepsi” bezel, and for today’s matter, a steel Jubilee bracelet, when all previous references were worn on an Oyster bracelet. The same recipe was applied a year later with the “Batman” 126710BLNR with its blue-and-black bezel and Jubilee bracelet, while the previous reference 116710BLNR was only available on an Oyster bracelet.

Indeed, the Batman 126710BLNR can now be ordered with an Oyster bracelet too

From 2018/2019 to this year, all stainless editions of the GMT-Master II were only available on a Jubilee bracelet, while the two-tone and full gold versions were available on an Oyster bracelet only. Even though the Jubilee bracelet really is a great match with the steel GMT-Master II, it appears that there was existing demand regarding the comeback of the Oyster bracelet option for the stainless editions.

And here they are. So, as of 2021, the Rolex GMT-Master II 126710BLNR and 126710BLRO can both be ordered with a Jubilee or an Oyster bracelet, both with polished centre links and brushed outer links, and of course both still equipped with the folding Oysterlock safety clasp with Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link.

As for the price, the versions on an Oyster bracelet are priced 200 euros lower, meaning that both the 126710BLNR and 126710BLRO on Oyster come for EUR 8,900, while they will be EUR 9,100 on a Jubilee bracelet.

Here the list of the references:

  • M126710BLNR-0003 – blue-and-black on Oyster
  • M126710BLNR-0002 – blue-and-black on Jubilee
  • M126710BLRO-0002 – red-and-blue on Oyster
  • M126710BLRO-0001 – red-and-blue on Jubilee

  1. I think I may try to get the Pepsi, looks so much better on oyster. I’m ready for hibernation.

  2. I got the all black one I dont really like the red and black or the blue and black

  3. Will Rolex let you swap out (meaning buy the bracelet and have the AD switch it out) the jubilee for the oyster bracelet if you only have the chance to get the jubilee?

  4. @Troy – not sure about this knowing Rolex… But you can try with your local AD, see if he’s willing to play along 🙂

  5. No chance. You have to sent a PEPSI on oyster to Rolex and they will change bracelate for you. Trick is they will keep the ‘old’ one. And you have to pay for it. Best solution is to also have BATGIRL on yubilee 😁
